Had time for Robbie Savage (tried if nothing else), Rob Hulse, Paul Green, Darren Powell and Kris Commos (although it took Nigel to get the best out of him). Steve Davies had some good days. Particularly disliked Carroll and Dickenson. The current bunch are far from being the best Derby side I've known but seem a good bunch of lads who I desperately hope will prove the doubters wrong. Think it'll b a hell of a bumpy ride but hoping the fans will really get behind them this season.

Supported the team since the Tim Ward era and the worst time for me was the Paul Jewell era. Not only brought in many very poor players but a lot seemed to be pretty obnoxious characters. Can’t think of any other time where I really struggled to name any players I actually liked. At lest that doesn’t apply today.

I think even the biggest Lawrence detractor accepts he has undoubted ability. We all know Tom's past and without condoning his actions there were many circumstances that made it understandable. Wayne Rooney is now our manager and love him or hate him is probably in the best situation to say the lad (and the team) will benefit from this decision. Only time will tell if he is right or wrong but let's at least back the lad and give him a chance.

Curtis Davies (if we re-sign him) always strikes me as the perfect captain. But Curtis will always be a leader whether or not he wears the armband. If making Tom captain helps him to reach his undoubted potential on a more consistent basis I'm all for giving it a go.

Honestly feel the best thing he can do is resign. I think he is one of a dwindling number who feel he can make something of the awful situation we're in. Think we need an experienced head not someone learning their trade. Having said that would love to see Curtis involved in the new setup. We desperately need to restore some pride and credibility to the club and think Curtis would help to do that whilst learning the ropes. Got a feeling he'll make a top manager one day.
