I know hindsight is 20/20 but that was never a minority and the players seemed to have loved it. I know every club has it's idiot supporters but ours seemed to be done in the right spirit. What a day I'm still buzzin

I've just seen the latest post from the club warning us and I've changed my stance. I'll stay in my seat because I'm too much of a goody two shoes to risk a criminal record and certainly don't want a club ban. If there's 10,000 + on there then I'll venture on but calmly 😄

I remember Gary Teale up there listening to us singing that song about how he "used to be sh*t but now he's alright" 🤣 That was during that wierd period where we went on the pitch for no reason, or am I remembering it wrong now? We did it after beating Milwall to stay up but I'm sure we did it whilst finishing mid table.

Of course I cannot vouch for anyone else and I'm not saying I'm right by the way. Just confessing to liking a pitch invasion and (perhaps naively) picture the day being like 1996 where there's the initial euphoria of fans celebrating on the pitch followed by a jubilent lap of honour. I'm probably getting too excited and I am more than likely in the wrong, just being honest on how I see things mate.

My Hero!

I think after the past few years in which we very nearly went out of existence amongst other things, it must surely be hard to begrudge people celebrating this (pottential) great achievement by going way over the top. You don't get pitch invations at places like Old Trafford or Anfield because they're used to success and take it for granted. But for us, what have we had to celebrate? Other than the two promotions in the 80s when I was too young to remember, we've had Promotion in 1996 and Promotion in 2007. Great days by the way. But that's it. I'm nearly 40 and should everything go the way we hope, this is the third big celebration in my life and the first since I was 21. I'm going to forget myself, the boring law abiding citezen that I am and for one day and one day only I'm going to run as hard and fast onto that pitch and try and plant a big fat kiss on any one of this season's heroes, I will soak it all up with my fellow rams fans, then I'll head back to the stand and applaud the players, manager and staff before heading into town until god knows when. I'm so excited, it genuinly feels exactly the same as creeping down the stairs on Christmas morning full of anticpation for what's behind the living room door. So I'll behave, I won't be a thug, but I will forget my age and responsibilites for a day and enjoy feeling like a big kid on Christmas

Does anyone know what time the players arrive? Not something I’ve ever done but I feel like giving a rallying call!

I've not felt any nerves at all for Saturday until this morning. They've hit me all at once!

I'm in favour of pitch invasions, ever since that wonderful day as a 10 year old boy at the Baseball ground, high fiving Ron Willems and having a cuddle with Chris Powell! I talk about that day every single time I see a pitch invasion elsewhere. I think about it now and then for no reason. It's a top 5 moment in my entire life and I like to think there are youngsters at Pride park who in 28 years time be looking back on the Carlise match in the same way I do that Crystal Palace match. It doens't have to be ruined by thuggery, it can be magical

My favourite shirt of all time! Probably because I was only 10 when we beat Palace. The age where footballers are more like actual gods to you. I paid well over £100 for this shirt a couple years back in proper mint condition and just wear it all the time and made it way less than mint condition!

Yep, fair play to him. I spent the first day of Ramadan in Saudi this year and was going to give joining in the fast a go out of politeness but the very second the people I was working with offered to allow us to drink some water and have a smoke, I caved...... and that was before 9am 😄 I'm sure he'll be getting plenty of nutrition today

It genuinly feels like ages to me but you're right. In fact it falls nicely for us, as we've had 1 week and a day to prepare for the game (so not too different to any normal week like you say) and they've had Monday and Tuesday. I've just cursed it I think

I was in a hotel room in Omaha Nebraska. Loving the game but really sad that I was miles away and missing actually being there

We went for 9 wins and a draw over a period of 10 games earlier in the season and I don't think we were playing well at that point if that is possible. No better or worse than now. The whole season has been meh somehow despite being in the mix up top This team could either repeat that and take 28 from 30 points or at the same time, could easily lose 5 of the remaining 10.

We have a squad way above average (possibly the best?) in a division that is dreadful. I honestly believe we're second in the league in spite of Paul Warne, not because of him. Someone like Nathan Jones, whether you like him or not, would have us top of this division as we'd see games out. And we wouldn't have the best Centre Half at the club playing left back

This is why I love footy, it's almost impossible to call yet we do it anyway, and even argue about it 😄 Interesting Bolton are joint favourites to win it and only thrid favourite to finish in the top 2, I just can't get my head around that one! As for Peterbourough being outsiders, this is true after last night's results yet there will be bad results for everyone and who can guess how many times we'll all take it in turns at being the outsider between now and the final top 2 being established? Can't wait for spring and the nice weahter and clarity of who will finish in the top 6 it brings

I think the top 2 will be Bolton and us, with Peterbourough just missing out and pompey 6 or 7 points adrift. I've always thought there was not much difference between winning the league and coming second but I've changed my mind this year and would like to see us be champions. Optimistic? maybe but I feel like we can do it!

Based on nothing other than the experience of being a Derby fan my whole life, I can just see us dropping points on Saturday, struggling but winning against Exeter, either 4 or 3 points from those two games and everyone (myself included) going into meltdown even though it's not that bad before convincingly thrashing Stevenidge and finding oursevels in 2nd because the teams around us also drop points that they don't think they should 0-0 Saturday is my gut feeling, like I say, based on nothing other than that's what happens we're in this position!
