  1. Is Nyambe available? Would be a heck of a boost if so.
  2. Wildsmith Wilson Nelson Cashin Elder Adams Smith NML Bird CBT Gayle (Loach, Ward, Bradley, Sibley, Thompson, Waghorn, Barkhuizen) It would be nice to see one or more of Bardell, D Robinson, Fapetu, Weston and Allen make the bench at some point if the more established and experienced players continue to underwhelm. It would also give many of us fans a boost too I reckon.
  3. Any news on the fitness of Nyambe, Elder, Hourihane and Forsyth?
  4. 1Wildsmith.....awful decision to attempt a tackle after rushing from his goal 4.5 24Nyambe.....his absence would hurt us if injury is significant, did well 7 7Barkhuizen.....no impact from bench 5.5 35Nelson.....solid as always 6.5 5Bradley.....neck like a giraffe, turns like one at times 5.5 6Cashin.....did well at LB but he's a CB so hope to see him back there 7.5 2Wilson.....needs to improve the final ball 6 12Smith.....better than Hourihane 7 17Sibley.....didn't happen for him 5.5 32Adams.....what's not to like? Apart from his miscontrol for their second 7.5 27Blackett-Taylor.....is there a band called Half Josefzoon Half Pickering? I think there should be 5.5 11Méndez-Laing.....off key again 5 8Bird 🐦.....I thought he was better than other fans' comments suggest tbh 6.5 25Gayle.....a few nice touches but we could have the most lethal finisher up top and not find out about it for a few matches as we create nothing for our #9 usually 6.5 10Waghorn.....the touch of a player who hasn't played in months. And who had the touch of Martyn Waghorn when match fit 5.5
  5. I did intend doing a fuller OP tonight but it seems I can't edit my opener. One is bemused.
  6. Saturday 2nd March, Pride Park, 1500h Form Guide Derby: Crap and uninspiring Vale: Even worse Recent History The three meetings between the sides since Derby were relegated have all been won by the visiting side. Each match has been won by a single goal margin. Aspirations Derby are doing their best to blow their chances of automatic promotion. Vale are trying their utmost to fall into the bottom four. COYR
  7. Utterly moronic by Wildsmith. Once he realised he wasn't going to get there first he simply has to have the self-restraint to not dangle a leg towards the attacker.
  8. I'm not sure what the answer is tbh. The midfield of Adams, Bird and Smith was fine imo and much better without Hourihane. And yet we still don't create much if NML is off form.
  9. She is, or was, a British citizen so she's our problem. She should be brought back here and tried accordingly. If that means she spends years, decades or even life in jail here then so be it. What constitutes an appropriate sentence is for another debate. Could you imagine the outrage from the Daily Mail readers if foreign countries refused to accept responsibility for their citizens who commit crimes in Britain when we go to deport them after their jail sentence? 'Sorry guv, we've revoked Pablo's Italian citizenship, you deal with it.' She was, and may well still be, a moron with a reprehensible moral compass, but given that she was born in England and lived here for the first 15 years of her life, the bottom line is she is a British moron. A homegrown moron if you prefer. A problem which we should deal with according to our laws.
  10. Brown started in the FA Trophy match at Hereford and has appeared as a sub in the NL games either three or four times I think. Yet to score a goal obviously. I've just checked the TNT coverage guide and none of Gateshead's matches are chosen. The same channel are showing a National League North game though on Sat 23rd March at 1230 and it's the leaders Tamworth away at Kings Lynn so hopefully a chance to check on big bad Bart's progress.
  11. Wildsmith Nelson Bradley Cashin Nyambe Adams Elder Wilson Bird Sibley NML (Vickers, Ward, Smith, Hourihane, Thompson, Barkhuizen, Gayle)
  12. Wildsmith.....Flapped at a corner but got away with it. Two decent stops after that..... 6.5 Nelson.....Solid as always..... 7 Bradley.....Headers, goalline clearance, key block. Excellent and MOTM..... 8 Cashin.....Dependable as usual..... 7 Nyambe.....Better as a traditional RB but decent again..... 6.5 Smith.....Superb ball in build up to.goal..... 7 Bird.....Continued his good form with another decent effort..... 6.5 Adams.....Sign him on..... 7.5 Elder.....Reasonable..... 6 Wilson.....Never stopped trying..... 6.5 Méndez-Laing.....Another assist..... 6.5 Barkhuizen.....Big ask playing up top..... 6.5 Sibley.....Excellent instinctive goal..... 7
  13. Wildsmith Nyambe Nelson Cashin Wilson Elder Adams Bird NML Bradley Barkz Or Nyambe at RWB, Bradley at the back, Wilson moved forward and NML or Barkz as the central striker?
  14. If Nyambe and Collins are fit and Hourihane, Elder and CBT out then I'd go: Wildsmith Nyambe Nelson Cashin Sibley Adams Thompson Bird NML Collins Barkhuizen (Thompson/Vickers, Ward, Bradley, Wilson, Fornah, Smith, Weston)
  15. The one caveat to that is Spondon Reserves would have looked half decent against FGR these past 18 months.
  16. Wildsmith Nyambe Nelson Cashin Elder Adams Thompson Bird NML Collins CBT (Vickers, Ward, Bradley, Sibley, Hourihane, Wilson, Barkhuizen)
  17. I reckon it'll be Bradley left, Nyambe right, Nelson centre.
  18. 31Vickers 6.5 35Nelson 7 5Bradley 7 6Cashin 7.5 23Ward 6.5 24Nyambe 6 32Adams 8 16Thompson 6 8Bird 🦅 7.5 4Hourihane 6.5 17Sibley 6.5 20Elder 6.5 11Méndez-Laing 6.5 7Barkhuizen 6.5 2Wilson 6 9Collins 6.5
  19. Owen Oseni starts up front for Rushall at Scunthorpe today.
  20. I'm surprised it's Ward ahead of Wilson and disappointed but not surprised it's Hourihane ahead of Thompson. Fingers crossed we go well.....
