Sibley I’d imagine is possibly due to position played, he may not see a future at full back/wing back despite that being his path at derby currently. obviously a talented player, struggled to get into the game at 10 too often. That is at league one also. The only improvement seen over the last three years has been when played at full back. This could be tested due to higher standard and is probably defending more next season. Think maybe a move for Sibley might be best for him, that or trying to adapt and become more of a midfielder than an attacker. I was very convinced he’d stay after the celebrations but we’ll see.

Yeah, seems his price coming down even as continues to score goals. Agree though that age against him, will be interested to see if can score in league one if he makes a move this year.

Yeah good call on this, i think the £10m ideas are a bit fanciful at this point! let’s see how he gets on in league one, I’d hope Warne has a look at him in pre season though. If thinks can help the first team then be good to see him play. If brown plays and scores goals in the championship then £10m would not be a shock!

Yeah agree on him not being cheap, I’d personally go Clarke-Harris over Gayle though. Gayle fitness seems to be an issue and much older. Clarke Harris think would be much more physical, better in the air too.

It’s not up to the broadcasters is it, sky would’ve killed it years ago if so. this feels a way to inconvenience lots of fans and then point at the block when people annoyed about.

Taking stats totally out of it, nothing from watching him play made me think he could do a job in the championship. I’d be looking for better if we were still in league one being honest.

I also find this new fascination with 22-28 year olds a bit strange. is never going to be as simple as we won’t sign anyone outside that age bracket. Of course everyone wants young players that will improve and have huge sell on value. So does every other club in the league. Just want to see what side we put together to start the season, will have a budget from clowes and let’s see where we get. Loans will be a big part of that, as will experienced players, and hopefully we get some players that improve in value too. think we all need to stop being accountants at some point and just trust that the club will be well ran

Was going to say similar, think he’s a good player. Certainly has moments of quality. same post proclaims Adams and Gayle are, Gayle was released after few lean years in championship and had us or port vale to choose from. Adams not gone on to well at Cardiff and dropped a league on loan. rate Adams massively and Gayle did a great job for us, just found it a very confused post.

The point of a loan isn’t to develope another teams youngster, it’s to improve our first team. the development is what the loaning club gets out of the deal. personally think Warne should have a look at him for pre season, if thinks will benefit the team then great. If not ready then maybe league two for a loan. Maybe a team can develope our youngster! And benefit themselves too! coaches and managers watch these players daily, and they would love nothing more than any youngster to be next big thing. But just playing them and hoping they get there isn’t a guarantee of that.

Agree, the routine of the Saturday 3pm kick offs is a big part of it

Think the worst part is that then moves the weekends game to Sunday as well so impacts twice.

Agree, I think the ideal for fans is that all games available to stream but majority played at 3pm Saturday. This isn’t possible currently. Am I write in thinking that there is no blackout in most european countries and had little to no impact on attendances?

Do you think is a deliberate ploy to make the blackout the bad party rather than sky? Leading to it being scrapped and then sky just stream everything

Yeah I imagine none of the games shown during the blackout window. its very different from rams tv also, read that 3 championship games a week be played at 12:30 each week. Is a one in four chance will be each team. That differs get really from this season.

Is more the impact on 3pm Saturday games the issue for me. Like the familiarity of going to the game about 1, having a beer, then coming out and meeting friends down the pub for the late kick off and checking all the scores. the blackout doesn’t seem fit for purpose anymore, is just denying clubs money from streaming rather than helping attendances. If people want to watch 3pm games then they can do it easily enough. Will see how it pans out in the new season but getting away from 90% of games played at the same time feels wrong somehow.

Anyone think ebiowei could be worth a loan? Not seemed to go too well since leaving us, had tons of talent though. Love to see him again personally.

Didn’t Ramsdale get relegated and then a big money move? I see your point, but if we’ve watched him and very few goals are the keepers fault then I think a good signing. Wildsmith won golden glove but think we all agree was better the season before. personally be happy with Wildsmith staying, but if doesn’t want to then maybe this our best option.

Tyrese campbell be a good option up front

He got in team of the year, I’m pretty sure for example if Allison was in goal for sheff Utd they’d still be bottom. Football about more than stats at times. Also, like someone else says we have no idea what our budget is so pointless speculating. Personally happy being linked with players for fees again. Trust clowes to keep us on a stable footing so can spend what he deems fit.

I do think he could play the 8 role, is similar to being a 10 with a bit more defensive responsibility. sibleys main issue at 10 seems to be getting involved in games. Has quality on the ball and gets shots off. agree he looks good at wing back though. And learning another new position probably not ideal at this stage in his career.

Yeah I think it was just poor “banter”. I dare say some of our fans probably sing similar at other places. i don’t care to be honest, have never liked Birmingham and happy to see them down. Bielik and Buchanan can have a stint down there.

Agree on smith and Thompson, smith should be Adams back up. Like you say Thompson runs a lot. He does seem to be a more positive player now and plays forward a lot more than when first in the side. Would be surprised if Thompson plays much next season. We need to replace bird and hourihane I’d say. Brannagan or Sheehan be ideal for bird.
