  1. Seeing as waghorn and Washington were already injured and then John Jules got injured with days left in the window then yes I’d suggest we should be preparing for that. Collins is 32,33. Expecting him to play 90 minutes for the rest of the season was crazy. Likewise as a team chasing promotion you’d probably want a striker to bring off the bench if chasing a game, or even fresh legs if winning to to see it out. warne obviously agreed as was trying to sign a striker. We should have had three or four options at least and been able to get one over the line on deadline day.
  2. The fact Collins is injured as our only fit striker was something we all worried about, we didn’t need someone to improve the team. Although that be ideal just a striker to play would be ideal at this point. Is Dwight Gayle still an option?
  3. Yeah it feels like that sort of game! Adam’s will have to be careful but imagine is used to playing on a booking
  4. Bird been brilliant since we sold him!! Fair play to him
  5. Would imagine will be 4231 myself wildsmith wilson, Nelson, cashin, elder adams, hourihane mendez, bird, Blackett Taylor Collins pretty adaptable to 433 like others mentioned though. like the look of this team. Feels one of our strongest.
  6. Wasn’t the best game was it, thought we improved slightly after the break but not hugely. Hourihane is really struggling to have an impact. Be happier with a back four, and looks like midfield has to be Adams and bird. Think we’re all quite eager to see more of Blackett Taylor as well.
  7. Is that him saying will be moving on in the summer?
  8. Ground it out well today, thought ward and Bradley had their best games for us. Didn’t hate 5 at the back for a change either. Bird had a good game as well. hourihane had a shocker and Thompson when he came on. Certainly some good grit and fight about the team though. back it up with a home win next week now.
  9. I think if Collins gets injured in the next month then pretty much any striker improves us at that point?
  10. Not sure this is a 0% chance. We’d be a better option than Charlton and Barnsley I think, sheff weds having money issues. Personally think Ipswich have better than him already.
  11. Didn’t know Warne say last week was waiting on a premier league striker? What happened to that he’s had two shocking January windows now. Will see how the rest of the season plays out
  12. Yeah I keep hearing how January is a tough window, everyone wants a striker etc. Collins be a great signing for us. Genuinely unsure what excuses we’ll have when restrictions expire in the summer.
  13. It’s not necessarily vitriol is it, just some people not that keen on the loan back idea to a player who wants to leave us. He’s not that good that we’d be begging him to stay!
  14. I’ve seen him s*** out of loads of tackles whilst a derby player, wouldn’t expect that to change! don’t mind him, never kicked on though. Should have been running games in this division, wasn’t at all. Little to no improvement in last few years. Good luck to him.
  15. Honestly I give up if it’s Lee Gregory
  16. I’d be very happy with this compared to smith or Gregory. was talk of Charlton for about £300k? Would be worth that
  17. I know, that’s why I don’t get some people’s slow progression option. Getting out of this league the quickest way to being profitable. Ultimately we can’t be afraid of transfers though, it’s a huge part of football.
  18. Yeah if is around £2m I’d be happy! Probably best time for all parties too. lets get langstaff or Clarke Harris in!
  19. A loan fee for a 32 year old striker who can’t get a game a championship side in the relegation zone would be up there with any of Morris stupid deals.
  20. Would be very happy with either of those next to Michael smith or Lee gregory
