If Burton wasn’t that bad, you wouldn’t have flown half way round the world to get away.
  2. I'd give it to the 3rd choice keeper, just for the reactions on here.
  3. Jaffa Cakes are biscuits. Game of Thrones was terrible. IPA's and craft ales taste bloody awful. Bitcoin and crypto is not the future, it's just a cult. Grown men should not still be watching super hero films. Elon Musk is not a genius. Android devices have had their day and need to accept their death. Adverts are necessary to fund a websites ability to remain online. Ad block users are website murderers. Cricket is just a game for blokes to get out the house and have a nap, any defence of it online is just keeping up the act. Dressing up, singing football songs at the Darts once a year is weird. Vaping makes you look a bit of a wally. Shoppers at retirement age should not be anywhere near a supermarket or shopping centre at the weekend or bank holidays. Using hashtags in forum posts shows your age.
  4. AmericanRam was never coming over to watch a Derby game. Had zero intention.
  5. There are many things I don't understand in this world, and this right here is up there with them all.
  6. The Just Eat sponsor on our shirts a few seasons back, did not cause a spike in obesity levels across Derbyshire.
  7. Scampi Fries, Bacon Fries and Cheese Moments were the holy trinity of bar snacks, I was more gutted when they got rid of Cheese Moments than when Robbie left Take That.
  8. Crisps and nuts are your average bar snack, these beer mats deserve better, these deserve the elite level of bar snack, your pork scratchings and scampi fries.
  9. Playing attractive winning football with players in the 22-28 range, with academy players in the mix as well is the ideal for any football fan, just think we have to be realistic at the same time. We may have to look outside of that age range, we may have to look at the managers former players, we may have to sign lower league players in the hope they can step up. We're not the only Championship club that is on the lookout for talented players at a decent age with resale value, we'll be competing with clubs for the signatures where our budgets cannot stretch to those that have parachute payments for example. We're also going to be linked with a number of players that Warne hasn't even looked at, linked through the need to bring clicks. Would be nice to have one summer where fans didn't flip out and go wild over every single player that doesn't fit the ideal criteria we have set.
  10. Yeah I saw that 😂 They’ve nailed the branding all over the place
  11. What happened to him anyway? Disappeared like Anya once Jacko died. Bet he’s got a few stories to tell
  12. Opened this topic to say Clarkson’s Farm. It’s the reason why I missed the Northern Lights as I couldn’t not finish the last 4 episodes last night. It’s the only TV series that could go on for another 20 years and never get old. Hands down the best show on TV. Entertainment, education, storyline, characters, it has everything and Pepper, oh Pepper, what an ending that was. I’m ready for season 4 now.
  13. They do in the media trained script. I’m thrilled to be here, it’s a big club, great traditions and whenever I’ve played here the fans have been fantastic. As soon as I spoke to the manager and heard the project, it was a no brainer. The ground, facilities, everything about this club says Premier League. Can’t wait to get started now. I would prefer the more honest interview. As soon as I heard Derby wanted me, I thought that would be decent money, got my agent too see what you were willing to pay and soon as I heard, great, that will do me, can get those veneers for the Mrs with that money. But yeah, it’s great to be here, we’ll see how long I stay for, I know I signed a 3 year deal but I’m hoping after a decent season a few clubs higher up might notice me and I can move on. Know a few of the lads here and looks like it would be a great piss up on a Tuesday with those lot as well.
  14. One more post before I'm dragged off to the park. Let's say it was motivated by style of play, these are professional footballers, over their careers they will sign contracts knowing the manager will likely change during that time, you have to get on with it and do your job, like we all do at work even if we don't agree with the managers methods. Which Bird has clearly done as a Championship offer has come in for him, had it been 2 seasons of the ball pinging over his head bypassing the midfield, he wouldn't have earned that move would he? Manning could be gone 5 games into the season, wouldn't be the first player to arrive at a club and see the manager walk straight out.
  15. "He believes he is a Championship midfielder and so he should." Warne on Bird 19th January https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/max-bird-derby-county-contract-9045044 At which point there was 4pts between top and 6th, having seen us drop out the top 6 the season before, I get it. Had we been 10 points clear at the top of the table, romping away with it, perhaps those contract negotiations would have been a lot easier.
  16. Not knowing Max personally, I can only speculate like the rest of us. Whilst leaving could possibly be down to style of football, I don't really see that, think it's unfair on Paul Warne to lay this at his feet. I could imagine an alternative scenario where Max didn't want to go to the end of the season undecided with a wait and see how Derby do approach. Could easily have done his ACL, Derby not gone up and had to accept a vastly reduced League 1 contract. A 3 year offer came in from the Championship, mid table Bristol City so barring a disaster, guaranteed Championship football, decent money, a great city, fresh start with a mate there to make the move easier to settle. Future sorted. If Derby go up, great way to leave. If we didn't, great call for his own career. One club players are a rarity these days, Jack Grealish, Villa fan, been at the club for 6 years leaves to join Man City. They are not like us, this is their job, careers, so whilst they maybe one of our own, it's not a for life type relationship that we have. I question if Cashin would have been here still had there been an offer from the Championship for him, having seen Matt Clarke at the club, join Brighton and subsequently farmed out on loan twice to then end up in the smog having never played for Brighton, it would feel like a will I or won't I, where will I go type move. Had Bristol City said look, same as Max Bird, sign, go back on loan for the season and you're in our plans for next season, would he be saying his goodbyes as well? Maybe.

4 Madri’s in the tank tonight, be at work 8.45am tomorrow, find it pretty tolerable, just gotta go through the trial and error stage. I know Coors for me is pure laxative.

Here's my way around it, when I drink I drink enough to give me the squirty rear end, so what will be will be. Squirtier it is, the quicker it exits. Just don't book any morning jobs after a session.
  19. Against us, but “Stop crying Frank Lampard” from the Leeds fans….great song plus how that season played out, beautiful.
  20. If stadiums become empty, football clubs only have themselves to blame. It starts from the top, the clubs that are paying over a quarter a million a week for one player. The knock on effect which has seen clubs outside the top flight losing millions each season. Clubs which don’t have the mega TV deals and up the ticket prices making the game unaffordable. This is ultimately what will see grounds empty when more fans can no longer justify the cost. Covid should have been the reset football needed, it’s a massive missed opportunity. Mbappe leaving PSG in the summer will set a new bar as to what players can earn, as average players start becoming millionaires after a months work. It’s broken and it’s nothing to do with the 3pm blackout.
