Has there been any confirmation that such a payment was made? I mainly ask because such a payment would prove that the pube headed smug smoggy t*** is a money grubbing opportunist in spite of all his fancy words about upholding the laws of the game.

I got told he paid £40m to make it go away, althought I take that with a pinch of salt, I dont however doubt something was paid

  2. a few close connections who know him,

All say the same EGO was why we ended up were we did

he backed the club as much as he could and did what he thought would save us, not getting promoted and legal issues added to health issues etc.

people arent talking about what he paid middlesborough to go away

Facts are he fought the efl and lost noboby will admit that, derby suffered the consequences.

Its raw now over I would guess over time and as more facts come out people will forgive mel and just see it as a failure rather than anything malicious.

That's not what @The Baroninferred. He reckoned DC may have paid something between £60-65M for the club and stadium. That suggests £38-43M for the club, thus £30-38M to HMRC, unsecured creditors and MSD for the further loans.

bear in mind dont have the full details

    guessing it replicates ck bid

pays any other bill thats arose since and also the admin fee

Why would they remove/move Costco? Apart from they were there first, it would cost a fortune?

not that itwill happen but you could easily house a couple of football pitches inside that convert the perimeter to offices the site is nowhere near the size ofmoor farm though and thats been argued its too small at themoment

Build new training pitches on the nature reserve behind the ground and turn Moor Farm into a nature reserve.

and the hold us is waiting for our new property developer owner to get assurances they can develop moor farm, who would of thought it.......  I mean its not like clowes own said nature reserve is it and this was mels plan that the council rejected anyways..... oh wait..................

  6. I dont doubt hes doing it for the right reasons,

but would imagine hes making the most of this very generous and expensive gesture / bail out.

various planning decisions across multiple sites are probably getting approved as we speak, or at least being 'revisted'

the hold up will be the council

  7. the thing is is none of us know if this is what ashley does

let somebody else do all the leg work then just come in at the end and say I can complete today

because this is public we are looking at every move but we dont know, he has access to hundreds of millions and can borrow whatever he needs probably on a phone call

with that level of wealth comes and expectation and delivery of expedited service!

Ed must be extremely confident in what he's saying or he wouldn't have put this out to get shot at. Either that or he's being strung along by someone trying to put pressure on to get the deal done/collapse so they can step in.

It's just such a mess and from our previous owner to the admins to prospective owners to everyone else involved in the whole sorry saga, it is destroying my interest. Maybe the internet age is to blame but this isn't why I follow football, I follow it as an escape, somewhere I can go for a release and to share a passion with my mates.

Trying to get my head around amortisation methods, takeover structures, tax evasion, blah, blah, blah isn't an escape. Even the answer to all of this, proper regulation by an independent body with clear rules and accountability is so boring. And yet so important - every club in the country is a Mel Morris away from what we're going through.

I just want it done, for people to stop playing games with an institution that means so much to the city. Either it continues or it doesn't but this purgatory is a horrorshow.

tom out of interest and ive not checked but were you one of the fans complaining during the mel morris period of splashing the cash...

I dont remember many people, hes come out by a large way the worst out of all this for simply running the club poorly as a fan and not a business

  9. come on everyone on here knows deep down he was/is a fan

yes its gone down the wrong path and lots of mistakes have been made!!

    But come on

you dont chuck £200m at your hometown club if you not a fan, all this talk of he wanted the fame baalocks hes a ultra high net worth individual do you really think he was bothered, the only fame he wanted was the adulation of gettting Derby to the prem!

of course it is they are responsible for full costs, (same would be if they owned it)

People forget contracts can state absolutely anything but the about would just me a normally sole commercial lease

also that said Im pretty sure

one of the local accountants and solicitors would do the fan function responsibilities for free,

Trouble is who pays for the upkeep of the stadium/H&S legislation etc etc I doubt it’s as simple as let’s buy it then let Derby use it for free

I'm not sure this isolate thing will work well when coming into the country. Simple example of , lets say Stansted. There's a hell of a lot of people arriving there each day, that go straight down to the train station, and head down to London, then various tube or other stations. Plus a lot of coach traffic from the airport. You'd have possibly infected a lot of people even before you got home to isolate.

I dont understand why you dont pcr at the airport

surely it wouldnt cost that much and you add the cost anyways would save the hassle

Not really a surprise with them mucky buggers. Hygiene isn't a priority with a lot of them. I think most of them still haven't discovered soap.

Sorry but this is what really got me!

I initially told HR to baalocks when they said you have to put a sign up in the toilet telling people to wash there hands!

my response of well if the dirty twits dont wash there hands already thats natural selection, wasnt acceptable

  14. as I said I know from many people I have spoke to and personal instances the 'covid death' wasnt a covid death.

A relative very ill (terminal) and they said it was covid pneumonia that killed him, the reality he was very ill more than likely going to die very soon and covid may have tipped him over the edge,

LIke I said from the beginning, if you are a fit and healthy person under the age of 60 I dont see what you have to worry about vaccinated or not.

Yes there has been some very tragic circumstances of young people dying, but people die every day and I dont see an uptick in that being covid.

How many people have died from flu / pneumonia that hasnt been blamed on covid for the last few years

The vaccine appears to do nothing, in the vast majority of people along with most of the other crap,

on either side of the argument is an equally qualified scientist or chemist to argue either point.

I just see that all this fear and blame is causing more issues than good, our doctors have basically shut up shop in littleover its terrible

alot of GPS should be ashamed of themselves and the service they provided

It comes from a calculation using positive tests. Ignoring all those who have had it but never got tested due to never showing symptoms. Which at the moment, according to the ONS, is 3 times the number of people.

its nowhere near the 2% figure though maybe for a certain sub age group but certainly not the general population

this combined with the stat above just shows its nothing.

I know a top consultant in the respiratory field and he once told me that there is something like this every flu season it just comes down the what the media want to portray and if it takes hold, last time we spoke he said covid wasnt really anything to worry about for the vast majority of people.

His opinion along with even the governments stats support that

I’ve seen lots of people quote this 2% and brush it off like it’s nothing. It’s so weird. 2% chance is one in 50, that’s ridiculously high in terms of a percentage considering you are likely to get COVID at some point.

I have a friend who bats it off like nothIng. Yet he’s afraid of flying. The chances of you dying in a fatal airplane crash is one in 1000000. Chances of you dying of COVID by the 2% rule is one in 50.

Would you get on an airplane if one in 50 flights suffered a fatal crash? Of course you wouldn’t.

So why do people brush off the chance of dying from COVID like it’s nothing...

where does the 2% figure come from its nowhere near that rate across the population?

even just looking at the confirmed cases

    I do.

I think it's as ridiculous to say that it's not dangerous because you don't know anybody who has died from it (I do btw) as it is to says it's going to kill us all because you lost 3 family members.

I know plenty of people who had covid on there death certificate thanks

I wont go into details on them as thats personal but covid was a convenient additional, and in some way im glad because in a weird way it helped the grieving process a finger to point at rather than a very servere long term illness

This gets a laugh imogi when I’ve witnessed someone driving a car with the roof down wearing a mask amongst loads of other ludicrous stuff ,,, no way the fear message has been overdone , so much so that I’m not sure people will ever feel safe again ??‍♂️

best I came across was a cyclist along a country lane mask no helmet

    oh the irony

    LMGTFY

Did you not think to even look it up before making such a statement of fact?

It took me literally 30 seconds to find evidence that it's not true.

Yet to see means the 100s of people i come into contact with on the daily or the 1000s of people across the month for the last 18 months

theres been the odd person and the odd news story I agree, and im truly sorry for your friends loss briz

    BUT LMGTFY

People died daily long before covid and there has certainly been no uptick in YOUNGISH FIT AND HEALTH PEOPLE.

Again EVERYSINGLE FIT person I know that has had it has had no serious illness, side effects or issues

    NOT ONE

as briz said your attitude and OPINION to this is  determined by your experiance of it

Thats my experience, just because it doesnt suit your agenda doesnt mean Im not entitled to it

the fact everyone that has caught it in my household has caught it from a double jabbed individual sums it up

That’s the thing , I don’t know anyone who has been seriously I’ll with it let alone died , none of my circle of friends , work colleagues have had anybody close seriously I’ll or died , now that’s not saying that it’s not a dangerous virus for some but two years in it’s pretty bizarre if this virus is all it’s been portrayed as in terms of the fear and engendered in people and the policies carried out , let alone the money that’s been made by many many and the money and freedom lost by many many more ??‍♂️

your not allowed to say that because someone read a stat online that said it wasnt true
