Thing is our Current scouting Team Make me nervous lol
they can’t get it right over here so god help them in another country
I can remember as far back as Richard galooze as the first time I felt like we were going all continental so the likes of asanovic, stimac and Jacob Larsen just role off the tongue and so yes I’m more than aware what a foreign talent can bring
even though as u say we’ve had some beauties from abroad it’s the Bjorne Otto bragstads, premislav kazmicheczhs and abdul  camaras That I remember the most
probably when we get them wrong they take longer to shift ?
let’s never forget esterban fuertes ?

    Ok
call me mr sour puss or mr pessimistic
and I’m not writing him off or judging him before I or any of us have seen him.
but if indeed he’s got something ... why has someone in Germany not snapped him up from the bundesligue ?... it’s not like he hasn’t been about for a fair bit
im not talking a munich , Dortmund or evening a hoffenheim
but like a regular struggler looking for something Extra like a Mainz, Köln or Union Berlin ?
ur not telling me our scouting team have seen something that others closer to his home have missed ?
id love it more than anything if he turned up and just monstered the living duck out of this league ... I’m just really sceptical on this one

I suppose we have to hope that his type of football fits better in the Championship than over there? Still think he looks more like a 'Jerome' so if he doesn't work out we can flog him to Rowett! ?

Just reading this thread for the first time.
big congratulations mate abd obviously seeing the more recent updates hope things all go ok
one things for sure the health service seem to be pretty thorough when it comes to babies so they just like to check everything so hopefully the recent scans are just precautionary
when it comes to parenting my biggest advice is just remember your a team
I won’t lie it does test ur relationship, me and the have been together for like 17 years (I know, she’s had my best years lol)
Prior to kids I think we had like 2 cross words/ arguments in the first 12 years lol... now they’re daily lol
if life is a rollercoaster then kids just make those lows a little bit lower but the highs are infinitely higher
u just have to remember tiredness makes even the most Laid back person a bit more uptight and there’s a bigger picture here and u have to be prepared to let some things go
oh ... and you’ll deffinitly end up feeling like a packhorse fetching and carrying lol
    me and my mate joke,
the words “can u just” will be etched on my brain and gravestone forever lol
but joking aside it’s ace .... and hard work at the same time lol

Thank you for the kind words again everyone it truly means a lot to me and the mrs! An update on the rollercoaster  of emotions is as my messages last week there was fluid under the babies skin which shouldn't have been there so we had to go to grottingham on Thursday  for a CVS,  the experts had a scan before the test and I quote "we don't really know why you were sent here as at the minute everything seems to be fine, the down syndrome risk came back as 1 in 1668 which is good so they've told us to assume everything is normal and we need to go.back at the  beginning of January for another scan to see what's what. To say I was a mess this last week was an understatement (so much so I was odd work sick) but this news was amazing and means at least until next month we can carry on as normal and enjoy christmas. ?

I'm not reading through 51 pages of this so I know what I'm going to say has hopefully already been said.
People who see Richard Keogh as the victim here are wrong, Derby County are the victim.
I'll preface this by saying I think all three should have been sacked. I would rather that have happened but I think Keogh is fully deserving of the sack.
Keogh's 33 years old, I've worked with/been responsible for young people in a professional capacity who have the same age gap between me and them as Keogh did to Bennett/Lawrence. He should have known better.
He got into Lawrence's car inebriated, knowing full well Lawrence was well over the limit and then didn't even put his ducking seatbelt on. The club captain. "Mr Derby County".
By doing that he's pretty much ended his career,  he can't perform his job and he should consider himself lucky to be alive.
Derby are right to sack him. I just don't have any sympathy for him. I think they were generous to offer him a chance to stay on a reduced contract.
Just because he wasn't driving doesn't mean he's the victim in any way. He's dug his own grave by getting in that car let alone not putting on a seatbelt. It's not a situation where you can say 'well if Lawrence wasn't driving drunk Keogh would never have got injured!'. Keogh could have still got himself a taxi, the bloke can't drive, I'm sure he knows the number for a taxi company.
He's damaged the club in a way the other two simply haven't. He's completely eradicated himself as an asset to his employers through his own irresponsible actions.
I'd rather we'd have let Lawrence and Bennett go as well but if you see it from the clubs perspective, while their actions were equally as irresponsible they didn't go as far as to injure themselves. I don't know if they were wearing seatbelts or not but they can still do their job. The fact they were driving doesn't make them more responsible than Keogh.
It's upsetting because Keogh was easily my favourite Derby player of all time. Shame he's been such an absolute clown.

    I’m purely speculating
am I right that clubs have insurance on players, ie they get injured then the players wages or a portion of them are covered by the insurance pay out
can’t help think that this has come about as I can’t imagine for one second an insurance company of a footballing nature will be paying out when a player becomes injured in the manor that this occurred
hence the club have to pass that responsibility back to keogh
    just speculating
