  1. Barkhuizens wife seemed to hint at him already signing on for us on tiktok
  2. We’re 1-0 up through Niall McAndrew who’s 16. Lewis Dobbin is starting left wing for Everton.
  3. Kasey Mcateer from Leicester has one year left on his contract, he’s out of favour having only started 12 games and made 21 appearances overall. He has 5 goals though and looks good whenever I see him. Hes starting tonight as a lot of main players have been rested for Leicester and a lot of fans seem to feel he should of gotten more game time. At 22 he could be a good investment as a winger who can play behind the striker also.
  4. Also be very surprised if we don’t bid for Michael Helik, seems like a Paul Warne wet dream a centre back who plays in a three and has scored 9 goals this season. Has 1 year left on his contract with hudds going down. Could be one we get or certainly try to get.
  5. Squad for 24/25 GK - Wildsmith, Vickers, Young 3rd choice RB - Wilson, Ward, Nyambe CB - Cash, Nels, Bradley, Rooney, New LB - Sibley, New CM - Adams, Tommo, Smith, New X3 Wingers/10 - NML, CBT, Barks, New Striker - New X3, Collins 10 new signings in total. Release/Sell - Loach, Elder, Fozzy(legend), Hourihane, Fornah, Gayle, Waghorn, Washington Get Robinson, Bartley and Brown out on loan.
  6. 1Wildsmith - 8 another clean sheet and dealt with everything well 35Nelson - 8 what a player 5Bradley - 8.5 we was excellent and did very well for Collos goal 23Blackett-Taylor - 6 6Cashin - 8 the back three all were very good 2Wilson - 7.5 was decent and got an assist 4Hourihane - 6 12Smith - 7 solid and worked hard 32Adams - 8.5 please don’t leave 17Sibley - 7.5 sign the contract Sibs 20Elder - 6 8Bird - 8.5 sad to see him go and what a hit 16Thompson - 7 sign the contract Tommo 9Collins - 8.5 worked so hard and took his goal well 11Méndez-Laing - 7 should of had a goal or two but was a threat 7Barkhuizen - 6
  7. The bench could be insanely strong this weekend Presuming we go with the same lineup as last week what 6 would you pick along with a goalie for the bench between - Elder, Forsyth - Fornah, Bird, Hourihane - CBT, John Jules - Washington, Waghorn, Gayle presuming Gayle, Jj and Fozzy all are available for selection. Think you’d have to have Fozzy on the bench for his send off + he’s better suited to cover centre back Id go with Vickers, Forsyth, Bird, Hourihane, CBT, Gayle, Waghorn
  8. Thelo Bair a 24 year old Canadian from Motherwell would be a great signing for our system. Plays striker or left wing and got into the Scottish team of the year. He only has one year left on his contract so can’t imagine he’d be crazy money by any means. He has 13 goals and 4 assists in 33 games so far this season in a poor Motherwell side. Is also a hard worker and good on the ball and stands at 6 foot 4 so is well able to hold the ball up and win headers.
  9. Kane Wilson is the only added doubt going into the weekend, if he wasn’t fit I’d go with Wildsmith Nelson Bradley Cashin Smith Adams Bird Sibley NML Barkhuizen Collins Korey can play right back and central midfield so I’m sure he’d be fine at right wing back. Also Barkhuizen in that free role he was playing before injury behind Gayle and NML but now with Collins instead of Gayle.
  10. 1Wildsmith - 7.5 a great save but was shakey with a few crosses 35Nelson - 8 I love him 5Bradley - 8 was a warrior today 6Cashin - 8 as expected 2Wilson - 7 was bright on the ball, hopefully isn’t injured 7Barkhuizen - 6 12Smith - 7 did well 32Adams - 8 the man’s a legend 17Sibley - 8 he’s been excellent recently 16Thompson - 7 love seeing Tommo back in the side 8Bird 🦅 - 7 looked quality be sad to see him go 9Collins - 7 worked hard 11Méndez-Laing - 8.5 extra points for a winner, what a player 10Waghorn - 6
  11. not sure where he’s got the info from, but can’t see why that account would lie or make it up, usually good
  12. Seen on instagram, we’ve apparently signed Zyan Blake a highly rated youngster from F*rest
  13. Would hope we move Washington on and then we need 4 strikers for what Warne wants I reckon. Don’t think he hasn’t been good enough think he’s just been fallen out of favour as the contract problems and nearly leaving to other clubs a couple of times. Also he’s played less than 1000 minutes since September and still managed 7 goals and 2 assists in that time.
  14. Has played for Warne before, and scored 12 goals and got 3 assists in the championship 2 seasons ago in 44 games.
  15. Genuinely wondering, if we needed 4 strikers in the summer which I think we do if Collins and Gayle don’t get new contracts. Would you take Clarke Harris (29) at Derby as a fourth choice striker for a squad option. A big physical presence who bags goals on a free. Fell out of favour with Peterborough as he wouldn’t sign a new contract but still has 13 goals and 3 assists in 38 appearances mostly from the bench. Averaging a goal every 154 minutes in the league. I’d certainly take him on a 1 year contract with a 1 year option.
  16. A player who I didn’t know is out of contract is Keanu Baccus. A great defensive midfielder playing for St. Mirren in Scotland. An Aussie with 18 international caps. He’s out of contract in the summer and seen him linked to a few championship teams before. He’s 25 so coming into his prime years, could be a great pick up on a free. Has good defensive numbers also, I compared him to our own Ebou for comparison easier to understand for rams fans.
  17. Seen a lot of Sheff U fans on twitter saying they don’t think it’s going to happen.
  18. Two free agents from premier league teams that would certainly bolster us tremendously. Oli McBurnie, 27 year old striker with 6 premier league goals this season. Scored 13 championship goals in 38 games last season while also getting 2 assists. A bit of a long shot but can’t see a prem club going for him so who knows. Baptiste, 26 year old central midfielder. Has 1 goal and 1 assist in his 10 prem appearances this season. Not good enough for the prem but a great addition for any championship side. Sheffield United seem to be stumbling into serious Financial problems. Other players are leaving on a free such as Baldock, Norwood, Egan, Osborn, Jebbison and a certain duo of Lowe and Bogle. As Sheffield isn’t very far from Derby we could certainly see one or a few of them end up at Derby.
  19. They are important, but as we’ve seen with Sibley, Bird and NML you can be good in play and over a dead ball. Carrying a player just so they can cross in a few balls and take a penalty should we get one isn’t worth it.
  20. Sadly take away set pieces and he’s done next to nothing. As I’ve said I like Hourihane. But he simply is not good enough to play high end league one anymore. He looked decent pre Christmas but since then he’s been probably our worst performer, bar lads who’ve got back from injury.
  21. I like him as a lad, but he has been absolutely awful on the pitch since November. Sad to see really but be great to get his wages off the bill.
  22. Seen on X, the 12 players out of contract. If we went up who would you sign on. -Liam Thompson ✅ 2 years + 1 year op - Louie Sibley ✅ 2 years + 1 year op - Martyn Waghorn ❌ - Dwight Gayle ✅ 1 year as 3rd/4th choice - Joe Wildsmith ✅ 3 years - Conor Hourihane ❌ not a chance - Korey Smith ✅ 1 year for depth - Craig Forsyth ✅ 1 year for depth and he’s a legend - James Collins ❌ love him and he works so hard but he’s already not the best at L1 level nvm championship - Scott Loach ❌ get a young lad as third choice - Darren Robinson ✅ 3 year + 1 year op and get him out on loan - Tom Barkhuizen ✅ 1 year + 1 year op for depth and see if he can still play at championship level
