Happy with that, hopefully Sibley signs a new deal which I think he will and I’m not sure about Collo. Hopefully Weston, Fapetu and Bartley all sign new contracts with the 21s also and get 2 or all 3 of them out on loan.

Swansea have confirmed Nathanael Ogbeta is leaving as a free agent. If Bolton don’t go up (hopefully they don’t) I could see us getting being in for him as I imagine he’ll want a championship move. In his last 2, 6 month loans to league one with Peterborough and Bolton, he’s played 36 games getting 3 goals and 7 assists from left back or left wing back. He’s comfortable in a back 4 or 5 so would suit us perfectly. He’d be a great option on a free with good potential. Should it work out we have a good attacking wing back with good sell on potential ina couple of years.

Adding to this he’s also younger than Wildsmith and bigger, he also is in the 51st percentile for long balls compared to wildsmith 8th percentile. He was good at Stoke keeping 7 clean sheets in his 18 league games which is the exact same number they managed in their first 28 games. Definitely is an upgrade on what we have and could well sort out goalkeeper position out for the next 8-10 years in the tiny chance he stuck around here for the rest of his career.

Don’t know why you think he was average at Preston. I remember before or after a Preston game on sky they did a segment on wether he was the best goalie in the league or not. He also won supporters player of the year and players player of the year in 2022. Leicester fans also were desperate for him to start in the premier league when Ward was starting over him because he was performing well whenever he played.

With away crowds increasing and the home attendance then being probably around 29,000/29,500 that would be roughly an extra 1 million to 1.5 million for the year if you average out at roughly. £20 pound per person for 25 home matches (with cups) minimum.

Didn’t realize about Osborn, but with Small I said he has 1 year left and I did read that charltons chairman or head of football said a few months ago if Thierry (small) doesn’t sign a new contract we will trigger his extension and then hinted at selling him. Id be very surprised if he stays at Charlton this summer.

If Leeds go up I’d take a look at Charlie Cresswell on loan, barely featured this year but the year prior was amazing on loan at Millwall playing 28 league games and scoring 4 goals from centre back.

Watching Celtic v Kilmarnock last night and Kilmarnocks right winger Danny Armstrong who I’ve suggested here before was very good. Was causing a good quality left back in Greg Taylor a lot of problems and had a great goal disallowed for a marginal offside by VAR. He is 26 and has 1 year left on his contract. He can play on either wing and gets goals and assists in an average team for fun. This season in 46 games he has 10 goals and 14 assists following on from last seasons return of 12 goals and 9 assists in 47 games. He has also played as a wing back this season so obviously isn’t the worst defensively which will suit our system considering how much running and work on both sides of the ball you’ve to do. Positives are he won’t be expensive, he’s coming into his prime years, creates chances aswell as scoring goals and he works hard.

Ed Dawes said in bbc radio derby he was talking to Dwight Gayle and as expected he doesn’t think he’ll be back at derby.

https://t.co/QT9Y8koQZQ I found the article from a local jorno from the Yorkshire post who thinks Hourihane has been in talks with Barnsley and is going to sign as a player coach. i think that makes a lot of sense as Hourihane has made it very obvious he wants to get into coaching ASAP in a lot of interviews he’s done.

A lot of Barnsley fans in the last hour seem to think Hourihane could be on his way there. No idea where the link has came from, maybe their forum ? Anyways I’d be very happy if we moved him and his large wages on.

Sibley is a Derby fan, knight and bird weren’t I also think if we were in the champ knight wouldn’t have left and maybe bird might not have. I think if we offer him a deal he’ll sign it.

I would totally agree if retained lists were black and white but they’re usually just who’s definitely still here, who’s definitely going and who we’re still talking too. All automatic extensions will have already happened the day of or after the game or maybe even before.

Surely derby release the list today or tomorrow as speculation around players will only build with each day.
