https://t.co/QT9Y8koQZQ I found the article from a local jorno from the Yorkshire post who thinks Hourihane has been in talks with Barnsley and is going to sign as a player coach. i think that makes a lot of sense as Hourihane has made it very obvious he wants to get into coaching ASAP in a lot of interviews he’s done.

A lot of Barnsley fans in the last hour seem to think Hourihane could be on his way there. No idea where the link has came from, maybe their forum ? Anyways I’d be very happy if we moved him and his large wages on.

Sibley is a Derby fan, knight and bird weren’t I also think if we were in the champ knight wouldn’t have left and maybe bird might not have. I think if we offer him a deal he’ll sign it.

I would totally agree if retained lists were black and white but they’re usually just who’s definitely still here, who’s definitely going and who we’re still talking too. All automatic extensions will have already happened the day of or after the game or maybe even before.

I think if you move Nelson in the centre he wouldn’t be as effective as his pace and strength in recovery down that right channel is what makes him so good. I think it’s always good to have selection problems rather than look for them.

Conor Coady linked with Stoke, would be absolutely perfect to replace Bradley in the centre of a back three. Bags of experience, great range of passing and certainly can still play at the level at only 31. Also lives locally which we have seen can get deals done ie Hourihane, Mcgoldrick etc. if the wages can be sorted I don’t see why we wouldn’t do it. I get people want to sign younger players and I do agree but I think you need a been there done it type player dictating and barking orders from the centre of a defence. Would imagine it’d be a loan as he’s contracted till 2026.

I use an app called Fotmob and used the player comparison option, they use opta stats which is also used by many big outlets and betting sites.

Definitely a player I’d like us to take, Barnsley fans reckon he’s known he’s leaving for a while now so performances have dropped which is normal. Only 25 and a free. We need 4 midfielders so this would be a good start.

I do agree it’s hard to properly compare him with Ebou, just thought the stat comparison would show people the true meaning of Francois numbers rather than looking at some random numbers p90.

Tyrese Francois, a 23 year old Australian out of contract at Fulham this summer on loan at Vejle Boldklub in Denmark where we know we’re looking. Fulham have kept him around for the last few years giving him the odd game here and there. His defensive stats are incredible and is the 98th percentile for defensive actions. His defensive stats in comparison to Ebou Adams per 90 to show how good his stats actually are. He’s left footed so the two of them could actually play together pretty should we get them. Lots of positives about him as he knows the English game, works hard, is on a free and is at a good age with up side.

Ronan Curtis isn’t championship level, the rest of the players you mentioned would all be good options.

If we’re looking at leagues such as Denmark and Netherlands it wouldn’t surprise me if we’re looking at Austria. I also think the Austrian league is a higher standard than Denmark. There is two good strikers out of contract that I would look at Sinan Karweina (25) and Lukas Fridrikas (26). Sinan Karweina is a hard working fast striker who has 12 goals and 6 assists in 29 games this season for SK Klagenfurt. He’s only 5 foot 7 so couldn’t play as a single striker in warnes system but definitely could play in a two or as a winger. Secondly then, Lukas Fridrikas has 10 goals in 20 games this season after getting 15 goals and 6 assists in 33 games last season. The Austrian has a good goal record and could be a nice addition on a free from Lustenau.

Warne said in his interview last week that it would be this week. But who knows they could be waiting to sort one or two things out before releasing. I did see Owen Bradley was doing a good bye interview with max bird today. So maybe he’s at work to do a few more interviews after it’s released potentially.
