Anyway….
How long before we see kids in England wearing replica shirts of Saudi clubs? Hopefully never but I’m not optimistic. I’ve seen a kid at a Rams’ game wearing the full PSG Mbappe. And plenty around town with PSG logo shirts. (And, no, they weren’t speaking French!).
Just come back from Zante and loads of kids are wearing the Ronaldo ones

I saw nearly every game he played for QPR, scored a perfect Hattrick away at Villa, the third was sublime. Was also responsible for bringing Ray wilkins to Loftus road but was sacked the week he signed , would have loved to have seen them play together.

How many places cover the each way?
2 in the premier league and 3 in the rest

I have a fiver each way on Manchester City, Leeds, Derby and Notts county, if they all win pays out just under 4 grand!
Looking at League 1 I can’t see you having near as much competition as you did last season. -
Apparently they are in talks to sign Theo Walcott, either the rumours of them being skint is off the mark or the people running the club are oblivious.

How's Chris Martin doing for you lot?
Better than most thought, best of a bad lot but it’s a very low bar.

We were top in October! Can’t see where the next goal is coming from let alone point.

How has this come about? Is it similar to us - relaying on one mans ongoing bounty to fuel a vanity project and when he takes his ball home, we realised we were a castle built on sand?
Too many injury prone loans, all the players signed by Beale have phoned it in and are sulking.

I don’t know what their protest is, but QPR have clearly decided to stop playing football for the foreseeable future!
I went to Rotherham Saturday, I have been going to QPR since 1978, been to over 1000 games, not been to too many this season due to now living in Lowestoft, I can honestly say this has a the worst QPR side I have watched and that includes the 2001/2 relegated side under Ray Hartford who were also abysmal.
genuinely can’t see when we will get another win and should we stay up it will be because three teams below us have blown it rather than us doing it through merit.

They've picked up 1 point in the last 3 games since Bobby's post and haven't scored a goal.
Just posting on this forum is enough to screw an oppo fan's season ?
Yep, sometimes it’s best to say nothing !!

I saw this thread and was expecting to see some words about how well QPR were doing this season!

The one sorry thing for me is that this allowed every man and his dog to call Derby County cheats.
Grossly unfair IMO as we were guilty of nothing other than Mel feeling he had no other option than AdministrationSo what would you call not paying the PAYE on players earnings then using that money to improve your squad?
also how soon after the takeover does the creditors meeting take place?
I know someone who works for HMRC and have been told that those higher up are a bit twitchy about “helping out a football club” when half the country can’t pay their gas bills.

Congratulations on the sale, is the HMRC include in the 35p in the pound or do they still have to be sorted, and if so could they still be a stumbling block?

“Parachutes are destroying our @EFL, setting owners against owners, club against club, EFL against both and vice versa.
Probably the most correct paragraph written on this entire thread.

Nope
they can take an interest but as it’s a private transaction between two separate parties it’s nothing to do with them.
having the value of an asset and a cost offs an asset are two different things.
a players value is completely different to the price that may be paid during a transfer for example. Thanks , legally that makes sense then. ?

The purchase price is a maximum of 25% of that, so it might not be such a stretch.
Won’t the EFL take an interest if it’s bought for less than the £80 million it was sold for?
-
I have just read the last few pages since it has been mentioned that HMRC and MSD debts have increased and no one has mentioned this or even acknowledged it, for me that has set off massive alarm bells, surely this increases the purchase price considerably? That’s even if HMRC agree to deferred payments.
Premier League the most exciting in the world?

The worst crimes with PL teams are the ones who are safely mid-table, not going to qualify for Europe and not going to go down, why do the put weakened teams out in the cups? It’s their best chance of silverware and a day out at Wembley for the fans but they sack it off in case it means they finish 14th instead of 12th. 🤷♂️
