The unstoppable verbal and physical tics of Tourette's Syndrome leads to "amazing conversations", according to Jess Thom, who has the condition.

She told Today presenter James Naughtie how her website [url=http://www.touretteshero.com/]Touretteshero.comaims to celebrate the creativity and humour of Tourette's.

Her condition means she repeats certain words and phrases involuntarily - particularly the word "biscuit"- but she explained that it can change over the course of a person's life and even over the course of a day.

She said that it only about 10% of people with Tourette's have tics involving swearing, although this is often associated with the condition.

This is an extended version of the broadcast item.

What a great idea. Doesn't look at her tourettes as a bad thing at all.

One to add to Hucknalls competitions.. How many times does she say biscuit in this interview?

I have a friend with Tourette's and sometimes it can create situations that are really funny. He is okay with it too. The thing is after knowing him so long I usually don't realize he is doing the tics or swearing.

I have a biscuit related involuntary swearing problem.

Its called working with feckin graduates who believe any production issues can be solved with a feckin Pie Chart and a Pareto Analysis.

Machine broke down? Stand back, I'm coming through with an emergency graph......

Stick the feckin graph up yer data analysed arse, sack an accountant and spend the money on feckin maintenance...... 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/angry' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
