Hucknall Ram
Stupid rules in county cricket, Finn is now playing for Middx, halfway through the game. No fair. Don't get me started. It always happens to us. I am delighted to state that after what I hope was an arduous and frustrating drive from the Oval to Derby, Finn managed to take 1-50, and scored 0 and 0, off a total of 8 deliveries. A fine day's work. I hope he got stuck in the mother and father of traffic jams on the M1 on the way home. I saw this, what is the rule?
smiffy
I saw this, what is the rule?Players not required by England are allowed to go back and play for their counties, even after the game has started.
smiffy
Stupid to allow one of your best batsmen, and certainly your best bowler, maternity leave from the most important game of the season ,absolutely stupid IMHO.
-JW-
Huge day for Derbyshire today Surrey need to get 217 and are currently 4-2. We must not lose this game.
smiffy
If they eventually lose they deserve it.
-JW-
Well they lost and will probably get relegated unless they win at least 2 of the last 3 and hope Somerset, Surrey or even Notts lose every game.
smiffy
Somerset 49 for six, just think what may have happened if Grunewald and Palladino had played against Surrey
sage
68-7 now, after the disaster of losing to Surrey whilst Somerset also won, are we back on track for survival?
sage
Somerset now 103 all out and we are 37-0, couldn't have wished for a better start, Keep it going Derbyshire, put 3-4 days of solid cricket together and we are on it again.

I thought he'd be a great signing, he started out ok-ish but I reckon only has 1 fifty in his last 10-15 innings

sage
Good day today, wonder how we will fluck this up. just what I was thinking, there are 3 days left, so no doubt Somerset will score 600 in their second innings. Also, with 13 wickets falling by tea, I wonder if the pitch will be reported. It would be at Derby
sage
To make it better, Notts are 11-3 following Warks 298 and Middlesex are still batting v Surrey.
-JW-
We cannot lose this surely?!? Make sure we get over 300 tomorrow then let the tail have a blast, hopefully get a lead of around 240 and then destroy them with the ball again.
smiffy
Even IF we win this one, the last two games are against bogey teams, Durham & Warwicks.
smiffy
Hope we don`t have to get more than 150 last up.Would put us 1pt ahead of Somerset.
sage
Decent total by us, but we can't let them get past 350, we'll never score 200+ in the fourth innings.
