Shocking manager with shocking decisions.. His signings are on a huge wage packet, just like they were here.. Jason Scotland, Micheal Chopra, Nathan Ellington, Ibra Sonko, Jimmy Bullard, Lee Bowyer, Ingimarsson, Danny Collins, Crlo Edwards, Keith Andrews..

Laughable really, all old players on big wages.. It's like us all over again

Oh and 7 losses on the trot now?

Our game against them in a week and a half will be the battle of the 'awfuls'..

IPSWICH have been rocked by a bust-up between under-fire boss Paul Jewell and Jimmy Bullard.

The pair have clashed over the midfielder's refusal to move from his Surrey base, which has cost him his first-team place.

Bullard, 32, Town's highest-paid player on £18,000 a week, has also fallen out with team-mates who have questioned his commitment with Ipswich just above the Championship drop zone after seven successive defeats.

An insider said: "Jimmy has been bragging about his wages and some of the players are unimpressed by this.

"The gaffer has told him he is unlikely to play if he doesn't make the effort to move into the area."

I hope he gets the sack and leaves football, goes back to Leeds or wherever he lives, and retires from public life.

Then, I can at last, try and put 'those' images out of my mind. Every time I hear his name, I think of that News Of The World front page (or whatever rag), and the way they sullied our club badge to spare their blushes. I had to change my mousemat. Ipswich boss Paul Jewell has admitted he has been guilty of trying to do too much too soon at Portman Road.

Exactly what I was thinking when I read this article. Just De ja vu all over again. Tries to sign a new team in the summer. Average 'big name' players on ridiculous wages.

Paul Jewell, under renewed pressure after Ipswich's fourth successive Championship defeat, vented his wrath on referee's assistant Amy Fearn after his side were denied “a stonewall penalty” before Nikola Zigic's stoppage-time winner left Birmingham two points off the play-off zone with a game in hand.

Jewell was asked about referee Rob Lewis' failure to award a spot-kick when Lee Martin fell under Steven Caldwell's 81st-minute challenge. "Everyone, to a man, thought it was a penalty. Unfortunately, to a man, but not a woman," the Ipswich manager replied, words that might land him in disciplinary trouble. "Although the referee didn't have a good view, the lineswoman, or whatever she's called, did. It was a stonewall penalty and a sending off. I asked [Lewis] at the end but there's a wall of silence."

While Ipswich were justified in feeling aggrieved, Jewell's criticism of Ms Fearn appeared ill-judged. The incident took place in a central position near the penalty spot, with the referee well positioned. To blame one of his assistants was at best unfair.

The former Derby manager's frustration was compounded by the manner as much as the timing of Birmingham's second goal. Like the first it stemmed from Ipswich's inability to defend a long throw-in by David Murphy. The full-back's delivery scarcely carries the menace of, say, Rory Delap's missiles, but amid the panic it caused, Zigic turned the ball into the net.
