Yes Mr White he taught in the portakabin which they had while building the new school, many transferred from the old school to new school and the rest stayed in the old school except Mr White, he taught p.s.h.e which is personal sexual health education. We discussed a number of items ranging from drugs to contraception, he was a good teacher if not a little odd. Yeah Mr Brown is a legend, brilliant man.

that was their record which seems to contradict the data you have given. My bad, it was 49% including English and Mathematics not just overall. John Flamsteed is very good at boosting levels from primary school and getting better grades at secondary. It is a lovely school and I had a lovely time there, the staff were supportive and did everything they could to help you.

No it doesnt - the data I gave was for 2010 not for 2011 as the story you post is for.

so you left in 2009 when it got 49% A*-C GCSE including maths and English.

Since then they got 54% in 2010 and 60% in 2011

yep its rapidly going downhill since you left.

Like I said those were views I heard from parents who have kids there, I haven't been there for two years therefore I cannot give an opinion on the current state of what is happening. My year was a bit of an odd batch in honesty, a lot of people who messed around and didn't try, was a bit of a miracle they got 49% 5 A* to C pass rate in english and maths, your statistics for 2010 don't cover the english and maths needed to be integrated, so what those figures are would be interesting.

maths wasn't my strong point either lr - english was more my barrow - I can add up and take away - I know how much change I need, or how much money I've spent - tis all I need. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Exactumondo Mrs - where do fractions and equations fit in when I'm in the Co-op? There's many a time I got the blackboard rubber wanged at me bonce in that room, I sat at the back and yacked the whole time. Like you, I much prefered English and I love to write. A load o rubbish mind, but anyways...erm, as for French, I never even went for me exam - I wagged it instead 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

If my kids did that tho, I'd murder the bleeders.

Yep, you know all the tricks - haha - they've no chance.

kids can always keep a step ahead trust me 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> By the way would just like to say I loved flammy, was a relatively small secondary school where everyone knew each other and the staff were lovely, rather than at my college where you feel anonymous and some of the staff are gits. Also the special support was brilliant.

"English Baccalaureate"?

What the feck is that?!?

It's not a qual, it's a measure for school's attainment. Maths, English, science, a foreign language and humanity at Grade A-C. I think

good point 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> don't they find any way around you then? you must be like the terminator for detecting things then 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> I am a good child and would never attempt such a thing. It's a good school with a good support for the kids with it being a small school with only just over 500 kids - compared to Mill Hill who have about 1500 and the same with Heanor Gate. I can phone up and talk to someone and they will know who I'm talking about straight away. Nice dinnerladies as well.
