This man is absolutely clueless (Atwell, not blacknwhites!). He was "fast tracked" to the top by the FA as an up and coming referee, the cream of the crop, the future top ref in England. The man is a a complete and utter joke. Every where he goes he leaves a trail of utter devastation and some of the worse decisions ever seen in professional football. Can you imagine what people in football say about him behind the scenes? Yet they persist with him. They carry on as if nothing is wrong. The people responsible for the Mr. Bean of the football world should hang their heads in shame. They don't want to admit they're wrong, its the curse of modern day society. Its why Blair invaded Iraq and its why the FA unleashed the most pathetic, ill equipped, referee in the history of this beautiful game. He is not on his own is he look at the Red Card Salmon got in the Man Utd v Wigan game and Howard Webb how many times has he messed up and Atkinson as well. The standard of refs is better in the Hope Valley League, where I showcase my skills but like you say nothing is ever done they still keep getting games. Bris Vegas Posted December 31, 2011 Share Posted December 31, 2011 After watching the Liverpool game I have decided that if Andy Carroll is worth £35million then Theo Robinson has to be worth £80-£90 million. Andy Carroll is the best header of the ball in the PL by a mile, he'd be a 30+ goalscorer if David Beckham was on the wing.. His problem is for the first 65 minutes he looked sh*te because he had Downing and Henderson crossing them in and going miles over his head.. Luis Enrique was class down the left but everytime he got near the box he sent in a low cross which isn't Carrolls strengths.. He's not a Chicharito type darting to the front post. As soon as Gerrard came on and put in some decent crosses Carroll was a threat, and he nearly scored on 2 occasions.. He can be a class player, but only if the service is there.. Like Chicharito, no service = average player. I can understand Dalglish's thinking, having 2 pacey wingers in Downing and Bellamy either side of Carroll with 2 bombing fullbacks in Johnson and Enrique, it should be crosses galore for Carroll.. Problem is, if they're poor crosses, Carroll won't score. Unless you have geniune worldclass wingers then this formation/style is so outdated and makes the centre forward look useless. Though $35mill is still far too much IMO As for Downing, he's feckin brilliant at everything except the most important attribute of a winger, final ball.. If he had an end product or the crossing ability of David Beckham he'd be world class..
