davenportram
Can't be right, unless Nigel Doughty doesn't want to invest and can hide behind these rules? but going on his word, they're not allowed to cover up losses.. or so it would seem. I don't know, confussed now. Thing is Doughty loaned the money to the club.
uttoxram75
Rumour of interest on loans? Don't recall any rumour more a fact that is recorded in the Accounts. ( courtesy of Ramblur) Is'nt there a big issue with tax if no loan interest is charged?

p.shilton
One of the biggest budgets in the championship last year but looks like they have finally realised they have missed their chance of buying promotion and have wasted all that cash! Especially like the way they have "creatively" signed fat, old and crap players- well done Schteve! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_7077102,00.html
uttoxram75
Little dig at the fans here? "We are regarded, outside Nottingham at least, as being a big-spending club in the Championship." A very polite way of saying "stop whinging you ungrateful buggars":D:D:D

Red Elvis
As long as our Forest chairman don't jump ship, like some chairmans do:D, I think as you've already seen last three seasons, Forest have made great strides from League One to Premiership contenders. Development business plans from Glick and Doughty ain't over yet, but I wager ours is the one to watch. Anyway LET THE FOOTBALL BEGIN! cannot wait,

p.shilton
Oh dear, the problem is that they are not an attractive proposition- Not convinced many players will be be beating the door down judging by the negativity of Schteve- he sounds very crestfallen, Bless:rolleyes:
davenportram
Can't give three year contracts anymore, and Doughty already talking about budgets and other clubs 'sensible ones' and having to reduce theirs for the financial fair play rules
