Glenn Hoddle took temporary charge of Wolves in 2004/05? I remember them going something like 20+ games unbeaten..

He's not a bad manager in the slightest.. And he has contacts all over.. However any man going into the Forest job is going to struggle with eveerything thats going on.. And a continental style (which Hoddle likes) might not work with average players (which McClaren found out)

Calling his academy a success is a bit of a stretch, what he has done is admirable but his biggest success story is a winger at Kilmarnock, and a few bench boys at Port Vale 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Saying this, I do, however, think these would be excellent additions to the forest first team 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Sky Sports understands Chris Gunter has completed his move to Reading from Nottingham Forest.

As revealed by skysports.com earlier on Tuesday, the Welsh international was undergoing a medical at Reading after they agreed a fee with Forest for the full-back's services.

Gunter has passed his medical at the Madejski Stadium and penned a three-year deal with the Premier League new boys.

The 22-year-old has been a long-term target for the Royals, with the Premier League new boys having had a bid for the player rejected in May.

The former Tottenham man is Reading's second signing of the day after they completed a move for Watford defender Adrian Mariappa.

#readingfc have signed #NFFC right-back Chris Gunter in a £3.5m deal on a 3-year contract. Total fee is subject to add-ons.

So that is probably nearer £2.3 with payments for staying up, appearances, goals scored and not getting a yellow card for 5 years no doubt
