Let's Talk al-Notts Rovers

Wow we didnt realise the club gets money from the phone deal; your gate receipts must be sky high bearing in mind you average 5k more than us, bet your gate receipts dwarf ours......................... Oh this is awkward.

Yep the gate receipts (on the ground that we own) are higher than the ones in your shed (that you rent off the council). That must hurt, your ground is absolute toss and it isn't even yours0 maybe have a fundraiser to pay towards having the pink seats replaced?. Oh well, at least with you getting away with 100 million of debt because you happened to have a decent, rich fan you will just about manage to stay in the second division this season.

http://www.footballforums.net/forums/showthread.php/285348-Forest-v-Derby-%28accounts%29

Match Receipts NFFC £6.991 million, DCFC £5.551 million.

Total Income NFFC £15.160 million, DCFC £18.121 million

Wages NFFC £16.555 million, DCFC £13.244 million

Loss NFFC £11.378 million, DCFC £6.686 million.

Quick summary of both teams accounts. Interestingly we make more on matchdays than you do despite having less through the gate each week.

Wonder why that is?

Pretty shocking about player wages. I wonder how much that would go down if we offloaded some of the ***** McClaren signed us like Derbyshire, MIller Boateng and Greening...

Wow but derby get some 5k more fans than us every week red dawn so how can their gate receipts be lower than ours?! i dont understand, that must be a typo?!

Unless of course................................ no, thats crazy thinking tricky; a football club would never virtually give them away 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Our gate reciepts are lower but our turnover is higher - I wonder if that means that we sell lots of season tickets through the mobile phone deal, which then don't appear as match reciepts? If that's the case it really doesn't matter whether the tickets are sold directlty or given away with mobile phones - as long as Derby County get the money.

I'd rather not own our ground, but have it in the location it is and have the history that surrounds it, unique stands. Rather then your soulless, flat pack no mark stadium that isn't recognisable and is just boring and to put it frankly ****.

I think even you should be able to admit that even though you have a new stadium, it's still very boring and just a carbon copy of any football league new build stadium.

I agree but if we ever move to another stadium (sincerely hope we don't) it will likely be another soulless bowl ala PP/Crisp Bowl/Liberty stadium etc etc

To be honest I was gutted when we left the BBG and the Pride Park isn't a patch on it for atmosphere. That said, every time I see your rusting eyesore on TV I nearly piss myself. Is one of your stands single tier? It looks like you have randomly borrowed 4 stands from 4 different clubs, painted the seats pink and shoved around the pitch whilst forgetting to fill the corners in- Nothing matches!

Just before you carry on, I thought this might interest you lot with reference to other clubs opinions to ours and your grounds.

There's some .. Ahem.. 'interesting' opinions on Derby and quite a few favourable to Forest and the City Ground as an away day.

Take off your Derby blinkers for a moment and have a look. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Looking at that site...

Bristol City fan "Looking at their squad and manager, I'm surprised they aren't much lower down the league. I don't know if Nigel Clough is a sh** manager or if it's just the board at Derby being sh**. They will be in League 1 before they reach the Premier league again."

Bristol City, are they not in the relegation zone heading for League 1 with Stephen Pearson? what would he know about the Premiership? couldn't be arsed to read past that point.

So to summarise;

Derby fans get to pay less to watch winning football in a new stadium.

Versus Forest fans, who get to pay more to sit in a shed seeing their side getting their @rses handed to them?

Yes, clearly the high ground is your's.......

Oh I totally agree DCFC have got their books in check and clever little deals like the mobile phone ones certainly bring in a few more of the ol 'prawn sandwich' brigade. Which in turn will get more food, drinks, shirts bought.. Etc etc

We should have a look at our own in such a way, Shame our promotional department is headed by Mark Arthur..

From what i've seen. People have only been amazed by the crowds we get.

And love going to your ground for a good day. (obviously saying that they usually beat you.)

Out of interest derby fans, who do you think has got the most overall fans?

Thats obviously going to be Forest?

How many are proper fans and go and see their team through thick and thin?

Without being bias, most Forest fans i know (I love in between Derby and Notts) Have been through a stage where they can't be bothered any more.

Most of us Rams just get on with it. (excluding the likes of YR.)
