As for Chris Froome, watch out for him in the Vuelta (Tour of Spain) starting August 18th - I really think he could win that. I don't think many people realise just what a physical effort even completing the TDF is - you really need to experience riding up those mountains, they just go on and on. Many years ago I took my bike over to France and rode the Col du Telegraph, Galibier, Izoard and Mont Ventoux - not easy with a load of camping gear ! MuespachRam Posted July 25, 2012 Share Posted July 25, 2012 The road up to Sleute on the French/Swiss border almost killed us getting up it in the morning just to watch them and when they came past, wow, they were all absolutely flying up it as if it wasn't there. It went past my daughters school but only the Year 7's were allowed to go out and watch them. Apparantly it was brilliant but all over so fast.
