CumbrianRam
For the first time in 110 years after winning 33 league titles! This would be like Man Yoo getting relegated from the Prem or Barca getting relegated from La Liga. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-13922463 The River Plate fans have threatend to burn down the stadium if they did lose the play-off. Welshram
Heard the game got abandoned before the final whistle due to the riots, Lamela will now get a big money move to europe, looks like he could turn into a cracking player
Leeds Ram
wow who would of thought river plate would have been relegated, they used to be really good.
Iceland Ram
If they do not go straight back up then there will be big big trouble. Can see the whole of Argentina being effected by this.
Day
Crazyness, who say's it's only a game. Got to love the passion for the game over there but come on, can't start rioting everytime you lose. If we did that Derby would be in ruins.
Leeds Ram
it is because they were relegated daveo which for them is like us in the conference north, it just shouldn't happen, It is only a game though and rioting shouldn't happen but for many of them the football is the only good thing they have. Day
Always seem to be rioting out there, lose a game and the manager gets a sheep head in the post. Crazy fools.
Leeds Ram
they do riot more than us, they take it more seriously than us i think maybe because they have less in their lives in terms of economic prosperity especially.
Welshram
River are seen as the wealthier, upper class club of Buenos Aires as well.. Wouldnt like to think what would happen if this happened to the working class Boca.
Leeds Ram
if this happened at boca would the stadium still be standing?
Ambitious
Unbelievable, I would say this is more like Rangers getting relegated to the second division in scotland. Shocked to say the least, the players are in for a good few months then I care to bet at least one gets killed!

Don't agree that they have any less in their lives.. Well, not anything less of importance.. Didn't you see how Vancouver Canucks (ice hockey) fans rioted through the streets of Vancouver when they recently lost the Stanley Cup Final? It's the same. Riots just express a release of anger.. Thing is, in Argentina, the rules are different.. The punishment less severe. Someone touched on Glasgow Rangers.. They'd do exactly the same and that's probably as close as a comparison as you'll find.. It would never happen to Man Utd or Barca due to the status of both clubs.. Day
I personally put it down to a lack of attractive women in South America, if they had a few Cheryl Cole's and Holly Willoughby's walking the streets they wouldn't be arsed to riot.

The temperament of people from certain countries also differ as well, of course not everyone is like that temperament of that country but a lot are. I am saying that due to certain things in the country a) things like this could be more likely depending on what happens with the club in question and b) the national temperament.
