Big loss of faith for me in Anderson and Clough. Anderson picked at left back had no intention of playing there and played as a third central defender leaving a massive hole at left back. Three central defenders marking one striker??? And Nigel did nothing about it until 10 minutes to go??? by which time we were well thrashed). He was picked at left back, but he stayed in the centre as if to say 'I'm a centre back, and thats where I'm playing'. Ward had to keep chasing back and after a desperate tackle was sent off. Srg Posted June 19, 2011 Share Posted June 19, 2011 I was shocking that day. A number of times Clough decided to swap 3 players round instead of 2 for example.
