Just for clarification, I'm 66 and my dad started taking me to matches in 1962 when I was 5.

Very good.

However, whilst it's true that a wine's quality can improve with the proper aging, it's important not to automatically associate the two.

Even a fine wine has its shelf-life and will go dull in appearance, sour in taste and give off a rather unpleasant aroma given time.

If your attitude on here is what 'maturing' does to someone, you can keep it!
