Day Posted August 12, 2010 Author Share Posted August 12, 2010 Police expecting trouble? ---------------------------------------------------------- All Cardiff City supporters traveling to the Championship league fixture at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday 14th August 2010 are advised to note the following information. The Traffic Commissioners guidelines state that: Coach Operators are to notify the local police liaison officer of their intention to travel, the number of supporters and coaches before the day of the match. Coaches are not to stop within 10 miles of the venue either en-route or departure, without prior permission from the Police Football Liaison Officer. Coaches are to arrive no earlier than 2 hours before and no later than 1 hour before the start of the event unless otherwise directed by the police. Coaches are not to set down or load passengers at any unauthorised locations without prior permission of the police. Coaches must leave the venue within 1 hour of the finish of the event. Coaches must not carry any intoxicating liquor and Operators and Drivers must take all reasonable steps to ensure this is adhered to. This match is a designated sporting event and therefore the Sporting Events (Control Of Alcohol) Act 1985 legislation applies thereby prohibiting the carriage of alcohol on any coach or minibus travelling to this match.Note that any coach/minibus found carrying alcohol could face the possibility of being turned around by the Police. ALL COACHES MUST TRAVEL DIRECTLY TO THE STADIUM. THERE IS NO POLICE RVP IN PLACE FOR COACHES TRAVELLING TO THIS EVENT BUT COACH PARKING IS PROVIDED AT THE STADIUM THEREFORE COACHES MUST NOT STOP ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE DERBYSHIRE AREA.
