Go on tell me who is good enough for the MM vision of U23s next season and the fans who say play the kids which is a real pain for Rowett

Who do you blame?

The players, or the set up?

The point is mate the Academy isn’t working is it.

Aren't the better ones out on loan?

Rowett prefers experience.

We don't keep a manager long enough to see youngsters moulded into the player the style needs.

You're not really supposed to watch them as a team though. No way will any U23's team in the world all go on to make it the their first teams

The set up is wrong IMO.

The constant talking up the academy players at the expense of backing 1st team exsisting players.

Next season Rowett needs to be able to wheel and deal and not constantly have to consider the academy.

When players are irrefutably ready they are ready.

He's bought more players into the first team than anyone other than Clement since Clough?

Which better ones have been that impressive.

I suggest none could displace current 1st team players.

Guess you've forgot the majority of our top prospects have gone out on loan. To be tested in a proper competitive league and gain experience rather than sit in essentially the reserves.

Top prospects .

Who are they.

He's wheeled and dealed this season, in what way has he been hamstrung by the academy?

His wheeling and dealing has seen younger players leave, to be replaced by older seen it, done it, can't be arsed to do it again merchants.

What makes you think Rowett even gives a second thought to the Academy when selecting players?

I reckon my dog could replace Johnson.

I thought there were 2 or 3 promising players? Lowe, Elsinik, Guy? Bennett has been involved

I don't watch them so i don't know tbh. The first team bore me enough.

But no good ones will get through unless the pathway is clear. It's not if the manager keeps changing.

He’s tried to find academy players good enough but they ain’t there.

Mel has an Academy policy which is at odds with a promotion push in my eyes

As I say play the U23s next season and get relegated I don’t care.

Kasey Palmer is streets ahead of all of them.

The pathway is clear what makes you think it isn’t.

They get injured like say Lowe and they just aren’t good enough yet if ever for me.

Thomas is at least the equal of Wiemann and Anya, yet hasn't been given a sniff, 5 mins here and there.

There's a massive upside to giving him a chance, yet he didn't even make the bench Sat.

Because a change of manager is a change of style. The new manager needs to impress and get his own first team squad moulded with players he will spend his budget on.

It's quite a long term goal to produce youth players into the team.

The only way it happens quick is when there's no budget.
