Kernow Posted January 10, 2017 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Somebody gave a pretty good suggestion on the Nugent thread about the whole striker line-up would work now Nugent is in the frame. Can't remember who, too lazy to go back and find it. I'll just summarise the points... We'll probably still be looking to get Martin back this month. If not, not the end of the world. The Martin loan fee will pay for Nugent and then some, and he'll return at the end of the season anyway. If Martin does return and we have Martin, Bent, Nugent and Vydra for the main striker role, no biggy, we'd be well stocked to prevent any sort of crisis such as SMc experienced in his last spell. Nugent will replace Bent in the squad for next season, and Martin will return. Gives us a similar sort of balance, and covers all bases for this season too. Yes still want Martin back even though I can't condone his refusing to play. If he doesn't come back, June is fine. Any outgoings bar Ince I would be happy enough with as long as the price was good.
