Strange to see Real Madrid in this position. They've not played that well this season but they find themselves now favourites to complete a La Liga/CL double. Vidal confirmed himself as the best midfielder in the world today despite the penalty miss. He's an animal. Casemiro is amazing too. Got to be the most underrated player in the world. Really should have killed it off at the end but for Ronaldo's slip. Any idea why bale came off early in like the 57th minute? In terms of box-to-box Vidal is definitely up there. Hard to pin him as the best though as midfielders have different roles. I thought Kroos was amazing on the ball and Modric is such a classy player. Thiago and Xabi Alonso weren't great and Muller IMO offered nothing. Lewandowski was such a big miss. Madrid's front three get all the attention but its players like Modric, Carvajal and certainly now Casemeiro which glue it all together.
