You definitely need a balance though. For far too long England picked their team based on pure reputation and who they played for, nothing on recent performances or anything like that. It's refreshing to see so many form players, playing for all types of teams, no matter the age, being given a chance with England at the moment - which is why there is the buzz there is currently, in my opinion. How do you get experience? By playing young gifted players in competition. Rooney doesn't have the automatic right. Both playing in the same side and Rashford making him look ordinary. He is the past. I totally agree, there is a balance somewhere but to think that taking an unproven player to the euros over the best striker we have ever produced is crazy. Rashford hasn't even played 8 games in the league yet, there is giving youth a chance and then just throwing him in with no reason whatsoever. He needs a full season of consistently playing, playing well and scoring before he should be anywhere near the thought of an England squad. Statistically you're far more likely to score a penalty when you hit it down the middle than going either way. Goalkeeper almost always dives (98 out of 100) - he was just playing the odds.
