But he is a man waiting around for a job offer from Newcastle, for the sake of the club what ever happens has to happen very soon, the last thing we need is a pre-season messed up by Mcclaren going, if he's going we need him out now, then we go again if he goes I'd say Warbonton or Laudrep, now if Mac was willing to stay if he was willing to say he was not going until the job was finished then I'd want him to stay, but the fact is he isn't willing enough, if he goes we get a manager in nice and early a full summer with the players time to get his own signings for the sake of this club!! Ship out some players and bring some in. Strengthen and get a good squad together early to fight for a place to hopefully get promotion next season.The club owes it to the fans to give them the truth now the season is over. Can find a bargain, which will be required after spunking so much on everybody's extended contracts and the expensive loans.Hughes to Liverpool/Arsenal/Man U/Chelsea/Barca/Real - Providing we get at least £12m, most of it up front, I'll be happy.Bring in an entire new back four - Out of all of them only Bucko knows how to actually defend.Thorne - Wrap him in cotton wool, place him in a log cabin, surrounded by a 6ft think glass dome, incased in vibranium and guarded by laser sharks until the start of preseason. Put Kelly Brook in their for company and prey he doesn't so his groin.Either change the system we play or sign adequate cover for Martin. He was way below his best today but within a minute of being on the pitch with 3 deft touches to our players you could tell how much he brings to our play. Any others??? I know many fans renewed there tickets on the terms that Mac would be our manager .SO come clean go today or stay NO MORE CRAP Yes no matter what happens be positive over the summer and plan from tomorrow, what's the point waiting around and not being able to plan with a guy who wants to go? Let's say he does go at the END of the Prem season, that's 3 weeks away. We would then need to get a replacement in, and in that time, we start to miss out on players that may be available.personally would prefer him to stay, BUT, get in a new fresh face on the coaching staff. A new coach on the staff could do wonders. Just look at Feguson at United, he kept swapping his second in command quite regularly, gives the players some fresh ideas, different experience etc.We heard how specialised Steeles role is on the coaching staff. its getting to the stage where you need a coaching TEAM - one for the keeper, one for the defence etc with a couple of generalists for conditioning/fitness etcOur defence has been organisationally shambolic - and coaching/tactical coaching could sort a lot out.
