eddie
Sand is thicker than ash yes? Come on, there must be some one who works for Rolls Royce? Volcanic 'ash' isn't ash though. It's powdered pumice, and has a much lower melting-point than sand does. It's this melting that clogs engines and makes aeroplane engines fail. Sand will scratch and abrade, but that's about it. mozza
Festool aye? Must be paying you too much. single blade on an angle , so as it doesn't leave ripples in the wood like a straight two blade planer , blades cost £8 each , and it really pi55es me off when planing bottoms of them 6 panelled Howdens doors and catch the f**ckin' staple which is always about 1/8th of an inch from the bottom edge.. The biggest downside to my Festool is that the collection bag is not very effective , may need to invest in a 'Henry' or summat similar..
