Man up you weed, get in that living room and tell them there's dishes to be done or something, womenfolk in charge of remote controls ?, the world's gone mad. 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

Alternatively, slip up to your room and knock one out. Don't think of Miranda mind, you'll be there all night. http://th188.photobucket.com/albums/z243/fikrikhairat/icon/th_smoking-smiley-5445_0-1

Thing is Miranda Hart appeals to women and gay men. That's about 60% of the population.

Comedy is subjective and comes in various forms. There are plenty of men whose act is based on being clumsy, awkward but a bit of a clown.

Leave it guys, she ain't worf it!

I think she's great and she doesn't try to be something she's not. Some of the things she does reminds me of me, cos I can be a bit dippy anorl 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

That's not the issue, the only thing I respect about the programme is she doesn't care about what people think of her.

But I'll take you back to the last episode.

Miranda and her boyfriend were in the country, and her boyfriend was helping her over a country gate.

Boyfriend spots a robbin and look at said robbin through binoculars, walking away from Miranda. Gate swings backwards and Miranda falls off.

Laughter - and lots of it.

I could write that, I really really could, if comedy is that easy I'd love to have a crack.

I can appreciate lots of different sorts of comedy that doesn't make me laugh personally, but I recognise the work that goes into it and the genius of it. There's just no genius to Miranda, and I feel I or anyone else can write an episode of Miranda in 5 minutes. All you need is an embarassing situation with her mother, her mother saying something awkward about Miranda in front of someone else, get Miranda to do some slapstick comedy, and for Miranda to say something slightly wierd to the camera. Bish bash bosh, film it, edit it, send it to the BBC, job's a good'un.

You didn't invite that rant, and I can only apologise LR, you're a brilliant person, it's just I need some space to rant about this programme and this thread feels like the perfect place to do it 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Well ta me duck, you aren't so bad yourself 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I think it depends on what people call comedy. Dav puts on Blackadder and Red Dwarf and laughs like mad, I don't get what he's laughing at.

People love Keith Lemon. But why?

Kids put Mr Bean on and they're in hysterics. I think it's too daft to laugh at.

I'll watch Fawlty Towers and love it, the kids say it's rubbish.

I dunno, wonder if it's a generation thing? Each to their own I s'pose 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
