AndyinLiverpool
He's from Derry. His family and friends probably have experiences with the British Army that would make wearing a poppy difficult.
Cisse
Didn't he give a reason for his actions ?

AucklandRam
I don't think O'Shea did either. With both being from Derry I can see why they might not be the biggest fans of the British Army. If they had worn poppies they might well have still received death threats. I'm not defending him here!

RamNut
Why? These stupid old attitudes were supposed to be history.
Cisse
Why? These stupid old attitudes were supposed to be history. It is very hard to lose old attitudes when your own family has been involved with the army and what they do. Those wounds won't heal easy. What I would like is to hear the other side of the coin in this McClean case.
Philmycock
He should play in Ireland and not over here if he feels so anti-British, the c0ck
