Moses was in his last year of his contract, and wanted to leave, Chelsea were told to stump or 10M and in the end he did.

Palace, are now able to say if they want to sell, and given that "rumour" has it, all of the big boys are in for him, can start an auction, Nick Powell went for a deal around 6M, and given that they have already turned a bid down in Jan for 7M, he will go for at least 10M IMO.

Says a lot about our national side though, Zaha would be nothing special in the Spanish U21 side, and even if he was, he'd be made to wait.

It's a shame we're having to turn to young players who have proved little but at least Hodgson can swallow his pride and select these types of players.

Past England managers simply didn't have the balls to call up someone like Osman when Lampard wasn't delivering.

^I agree some disagree others

Agree

Engalnd is normally run by the top 4 clubs with even some of the english bench players getting in.A good player should be good all the time.A player can play well and the rest of his team can be crap.Gerrard has been injury prone and crap in a massively declining liverpool for 3 years now.The reason england dont play well is 2 key things we have never recently had a settled starting 11 its always swapping and changing as we dont have 11 consistent performers and secondly we dont have a style of play.In the spanish league its all about passing and movement so when the players play for international they just pick up from where they left off.In the premier league theres too many different types Counter attacking,Hoof ball(Stoke) etc.So when they get called up the coaches have a 3/4 days to train with the team and put together a system. But the players never adapt. The english managers never get enough time to put together a style of play as the media get on their backs if it isnt instantly working.Even though the media isnt on his back(yet) Roy is retiring after the world cup so that will leave another manager to call up different players and change the play.England have only had 2 consistent players recently Scott parker and John terry.

Disagree

Spain will no longer be a force come 2015

They only manage to play well because the team is made from real madrid and barcelona. Its funny how everyone started to jump on the spain bandwagon.Hardly anyone had heard of xavi 7 years ago now hes a footballing genius. The only play well because they play all year round the team is basically barcelona madrid. They were awful in the Olympics and thats there rising talent. They only have 3 decent u21 players.Isco, rodrigo and Tello. The others are average at best.

As for Roy calling up Youngsters.Thats what we need to do and you should agree with this seeing as your a derby fan and derby have those methods. He should select players on how they are performing not what club they are from.International football takes a players ability to a new level so if you can get a player playing at a young age he will increase his potential and helps him benefit from extra game time.Look at Germanys set of talents Gotze,Schurle etc 2 years ago they werent know on the world stage but Low took a risk in giving youngsters a chance and it payed off.ENgland have alot of average young talent who can Become great if given a chance.Walker,Gibbs,Smalling,Jones,Caulker,Ox,WIlshere,Welbeck,Butland,Ince,Shelvey,Sturridge.All these names could be good if given the chance playing at the higher level.

England are not going to win a World Cup or Euros by playing well our only current oppotunity would be to do a Chelsea in the Champions league final.Even though i like Osman its a step backwards at his age he might not get more than 5 caps hes playing at his current potential which is average and good enough to start at the world cup.

Also Agree that calling up sterling and Zaha just to convince them to choose england over their other options is a waste of a spot to those who would actually impact the game.If they want to play for england they wouldnt have to think about it.

Sorry about the read.had alot to say.Sorry also if there is any typo's quick typing

There worse than us at getting screwed with there young players, Clyne, Mosses, Bostock, Routledge to name a few.

Bostock and Routledge have failed to live up the the hype, Moses done well, Clyne to soon to tell.

Zaha looks the real deal to me, though he isn't going to change the fortunes of English football by himself, in fact in don't see much improvement for Brazil 2014/France 2016 if we get there.

Also Other nations have a lower ability rating of a player before calling him up.Example is Matt philips for me he looked a beast pace, strength, finishing But because he saw himself having to wait at least 2 years before he would get a chance he said that in that time he could have gotten 15 caps for scotland. But yet in the 3 scotland games i watched on sky sports he hasnt played.

Well he was born there, wonder if the usual TV pundits will critise him for choosing to play for England if he does well, me thinks not.

Ironic when it is the likes of Mark Lawrenson who say like he did in Euro 2012 about Podolski, who actually grew up in Germany, like Zaha in England. Lawro on the other had was raised in Preston, but qualified for Ireland through grandparents.
