Gone on, Give it your best shot.

We've been screwed over by the EFL, The Curley one at Boro, The fake Shiek, Some nutter that posts his own place from Instagram saying it was his, Goodbye Gabay, The golfing yank, The Admins, Some tool who has a fixation for us on a Bristol forum, Brum fans who want to party when we die, Now retrieving all the invites they sent out and countless other non entities ?

Go on you know you want too ? our shoulders are bigger than your Tik Tokkers ego.

Would but last time an over sensitive mod banned me...to be fair emotions were high as you were worried about not existing... ?

Panthers looking good in the elite ice hockey League again is it?

Don't follow it intensely but they're usually alright. Notts doing well finally and should go up this year back to the football league (be playing you lot soon), Notts CCC n the verge of promotion and Trent Rockets winning the Hundred. Add that to us being back amongthe elite where we belong.

    Proper sporting city.

Sheesh these Notts folk aren't very good at this banter thing. They're like a cheap plastic kid's toy with 5 different pre-recorded responses. Pull the cord and watch them talk!

Would love to go in on you lot harder than Psycho on Ted McMinn but it just feels cruel given where our clubs are.

It's been the worst year in your history so I can understand it that you're all a little sensitive right now.

That's absolute rowlocks and you know it.

The city ground has about as much character as a decaying teddy bear at a child's graveside.

All that's missing from our ground now is novelty masks.

Toyota and Bombardier must hand them out with every ticket they give away. I've been saying it for years, we've got the location, the history, the loyal support etc but we're just missing those masks. Scary stuff

    It's been rebuilt???

    WOW! Who'd have guessed?

Main stand is looking tired nowadays no doubt and it's redevelopment cant come quick enough. Give me that though and what we have around the other 3 sides over an identikit ground every day of the week. I know deep down you all agree as well and would much prefer to be playing at the Baseball Ground...

Take away the lettering across the seats and the colour and you'd find it difficult to identify Pride Park, it could quite easily be the Madejski, King Power, Keepmoat etc...

The City Ground is unique for all its flaws and we've had chances over the years to move and once again, unlike Derby, decided to keep our character and our identity instead of selling out. I can see a pattern emerging...

  6. Things were bad under Fawaz and in parts of the Doughty era and we properly struggled financially. Had embargos, limited ourselves to loans and frees. Had to sell the family silver each summer with Matty Cash, Burke, Brereton, Lascelles/Darlington, Bamford, Appiah and loads of others. All because we did things properly. We messed up on transfers and failed promotion attempts so we paid the penalty by selling talent and not spending for a while.

We paid our debts and can be proud that we never mugged all of our stakeholders off and never went into administration. Cowards way out.

Blimey it's 3 in the morning and your on here .  There's rent free and then there's Pacific Heights.  Obviously, the sheer panic at having blown close to 100 million more than your promotion and parachute pay outs over 4 years, on long contracts, for a  load of rapidly depreciating s**** is keeping you up.

Well, that or working shifts. Can never remember which. I appreciate your concern though, as well as the rant ?

You're right on one though, 800k is nothing to us, we spend double that and more on u23 development players nowadays. It's an absolute fortune to you though...not that you'll ever pay it all of course. Why bother paying bills when you can just go into admin and start afresh?

  8. A 4 year deal seems at least 2 years too long for Warne. That's a lot of compensation to pay for a financially struggling club.

Up to now I thought Clowes was sensible but this seems bizarre. Only reasoning I can think of is there isn't a huge number of other options and he'd need some sort of reason to drop down the leagues so you've given him a lot of security.

Just f*** off. Sick of these so called super clubs trying to destroy our domestic game.

I would just do away with the League Cup completely...or just have it as a genuine Football League trophy.

Agree with no replays in the FA Cup, unnecessary waste of time that belongs in the dark ages. I would have some sort of sliding scale for earnings from based on the league you're in, eg. A lower league team like Derby gets the full gate receipts if they play a Premier League big hitter like us ?

Their next 3 games are against teams in the bottom half I reckon if they don’t get results in these games then he’ll be gone

I personally would give Cooper the whole season. If we go down he's the best man to take us up...

Whether the big man feels the same is another matter. He became owner of Forest because of our potential as a Premier League club and understandably will be desperate to stay up and then build.

Luckily compared to the Fawaz years or even the first few years of Marinakis we're now infinitely better run with a genuine structure and strategy behind the scenes so I would say that whatever decision is made it won't be knee jerk or impulsive, there will be a plan in place behind it.

All the signings were because we had only 5 contracted players and we can only have free transfers and baby loans (due to cost) as you know you need eleven to field a team whereas you needed 22 to fill your ground

But the signings you actually made like Mcgoldrick and Horihane are not suited to Warnes style? Yeah I get it you needed bodies and fast but the ones you actually signed were done with a style of play in mind surely?

  12. 2 hours ago, David said:

It does feel like a sacking, will give you that, all indications were he was the manager and was just a matter of when not if he would sign a new contract as permanent manager.

From the outside it makes no sense. Surely the signings you've made were all with a certain style of play in mind and now you're ripping all that up for direct, shithousery which may or may not work.

I could get it if you were lingering in the bottom half but you're a couple of goals from being in the play offs. Odd decision.

He’ll be your star man have a stellar season getting about 7 goals and 10 assists (good for a struggling team) and it still won’t be enough. Can’t rely one one man.

Whatever happens you’ll struggle to keep him beyond next season, if you stay up though the big fee will enable you to reinvest.

Ideally over the next week or two we'll start to see a bit of transfer movement which will take the burden off him. Rumoured to be after Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolves which would be a superb signing if true...

  14. 12 minutes ago, Boycie said:

Do you think you’ll hang on to him?  My dog mate recons he’s over rated in the fan base, only turns it on for the big games?

I’d like him in our team but I doubt he’d take our wage cap seriously.

He's definitely going nowhere this summer, had we not gone up he'd have been off though I'm sure. We allegedly rejected a £20m bid in January from Brentford for him.

There's a few aspects of his game that need work for sure, after all he's coming up off the back of only one season in the Championship now. But there's plenty of natural ability there, as well as what seems like a sensible head on his shoulders, that will keep him at the top level for years for me. So if we were to come down I'd imagine he'd be gone.

  15. 3 minutes ago, Boycie said:

Wasn’t he injured a bit though, seemed like they fans were all for him.

Davis is definitely loved by the fans and virtually everyone wants him back, but realistically he's not coming in to be first choice so £15m is ridiculous. I suspect Villa will drastically reduce the price by the end of the summer as they don't want him and not many in the Championship will take him for that money.
