Plenty of drivel in this interview. And when he does talk about the football, why can’t he just say he loves NmL’s pace without saying how much faster he is than Collins. It’s just so unnecessary

I assume you’re referring to your comment that: ‘he had a couple of poor performances and was dropped’. Fact is, he made one horrendous error resulting in a pen. Not a reason to drop your better keeper. W is a PL level keeper. V is decent and solid for this div. But there is not a single aspect of V’s game that reaches W’s standard. If you don’t agree, maybe seek out GoC’s stats on the topic. If Warne doesn’t see it, I’m worried. But I’d guess he does see it and that there is a reason for this that’s unrelated to performance in matches. Sorry to go on but watching V deciding whether or not to ‘come’ stresses me out.

According to another poster, Wildsmith has indicated he wants to leave. That seems pretty plausible because imo there is no footballing reason to prefer V

Uplifting - especially after our recent performances and surely a big tonic for those who thought the transfer window was disastrous. Adams could transform us. Maybe this is Bradley’s turning point. 3 at the back can be strong so long as the rest are doing the right things at the right time. (It’s not all about formation.) Ward (where has he been?) was good and so good to see Sibley look like a footballer after a disappointing spell. Well done Warne for taking NML off. Still not convinced we’ve got the right starting 11 or that we change things when we should ; but this is a squad that should win promotion and after today I think they’ll believe it But it’s a poignant moment: with Bird’s news it seems like the end of an era. His ball into NML said it all. Can only hope that Bristol suffer a massive financial crisis leading to insolvency before the season’s end

Wildsmith would also lead the stats on these criteria % of punches a seal would be proud of (W 0%, V 40%) Mille-seconds taken to decide whether to attack a cross outside the 6yard box (W250, V850) The list goes on … My concern is that there is some weird personal thing going on inside Warne’s bobble hat that leads to this nonsense. We see worse keepers than W in the PL every Saturday night.
