  1. Even though it's an international break, podcasting never stops! We recently sat down with former Derby defender Youl Mawéné to discuss his career in the game! We talk about his start in French football, moving to England, working under Jim Smith, his love for Derby fans and winning POTY. We then talk about what lead him to sign for Preston, moving to Greece and Scotland and then transition out of playing to his current role at Salford City.

    Great,in depth articles,excellent!

But...could you try and sorry out your sound levels please, they are all over the place between pieces, adverts, intro music etc and as I listen to them in the car,I'm off and on the volume controls like I've got a weird form of ocd!

Thanks for that feedback! I've passed it along to Jason, who edits the podcast. We will try and get that sorted out over the international break!

Was interesting, although i think KM was slightly off point on the resubmitting accounts.

I think anything arising out of those will have to be a new set of charges (they couldn't have been part of the original charge for obvious reasons) and cannot have any baring on the season just finished if the charge is raised after the season has finished. All of that fun is awaiting next season anyway.

The key thing is the EFL appeal against the £100k fine. If we're deducted points retrospecivly relegating us *just for the accounting policy* than that's a rum outcome for us, but possible. I think (hope) the view will be "what you won was all the accouts for the disputed years being resubmitted and getting to charge Derby for anything arising from that."

Yeah, fingers crossed that is the case. I feel that once the accounts are submitted Derby might be over the FFP limit. Funny how after Derby are ordered to resubmit their accounts, Pearce finds £30 million from the stadium sale valuation!

A great interview with a great player who was in our midfield when I first started watching the Rams in 1967. I really liked his quote that Dave Mackay 'never played a ball without a message on it'.

The Chelsea home League Cup replay under the lights in 1968 at the BBG is one of my most memorable games too, but Alan's memory failed him a little when he mentioned the next round game in Liverpool as the opponents were actually Eveton and not the Red's.

Alan was absolutely fabulous! I true gentleman! Glad you enjoyed the episode!
