Credit to them where it's due though, I wouldn't be a referee no matter how much I was being offered to do it! No matter what decision you make, someone won't be happy. Not worth the abuse!

    That's a lie.

I called off my grassroots game this morning after a pitch inspection...

    Nobody moaned ?

  2. From a refereeing forum, this might make things simpler...

Before the defender deliberately plays the ball, the attacker has not touched the ball, the attacker hasn't prevented the opponent from being able to play the ball, the attacker hasn't challenged the opponent for the ball, the attacker hasn't attempted to play the ball, or made an action which impacted on the ability of the opponent to play the ball. As the offside law is written, it simply cannot be offside.

Surely he is offside as the pass was being made to him. Its all about passages of play. The touch was to prevent the through ball, to stop it reaching the offside player.

If he's offside from the first kick by the attacking player, and it goes through without a deliberate play by the defending player, then its offside. If the defending player deliberately plays the ball, the offside resets and there's no offside offence.

So as per the laws of the game, its onside. Just one of those things. If you want to blame anyone, blame IFAB.

She achieved a certain notoriety when she was at radio 1 by suggesting that at the age of 101 the Queen mum smelt a bit of wee.

She also was a model in the 90s for pretty polly tights...great legs.

She's also a highly intelligent woman.

But not nearly as good as decent fish and chips.....?

And from when I used to listen to her on Radio 1, hilarious at times. Probably the funniest radio presenter I can think of (whether me being a simpleton has anything to do with it, I don't know).

I was devastated when she left!

This side are playing very well indeed big shout out for Morrison who is looking class in midfield, sorry all you whining armchair fans but this side would not get relegated.

I thought Morrison looked decent, after our corner earlier he came away, took a couple of decent touches and pinged the ball to the edge of the area for a cross to go in, that was enough to impress me. No messing about etc.

We had a lad caught wnaking on CCTV whilst washing the teacups, simultaneously sticking a finger up his arse, also whilr wearing a Forest shirt.

I've a sneaking admiration for the way he toughed it out, and is still employed 20 years later.

Basically, we've only sacked two people ever, and they were bizarrely both on Christmas Eve!

Someone where I work took a dump in a customers car park, tried to run it over with their vehicle and missed, all caught on camera. Somehow still has their job a couple of years or so later.

    Unbelievable!

We (as in professional football) seem to have forgotten the idea that a penalty is given when there is a foul committed in the penalty area. An accidental collision never was (and never should be) considered a foul.....

What if it stops a (clear) goal scoring opportunity?

  8. VW Polo 1.2 in Grey, 60 plate but on a 59 plate at the mo.

Had it from just over 2 years old, it's a shed now.

Just reluctant to change as it's served me well, and I know how it's been treated, that it's not a lemon etc.

Plus had a new timing belt last year and that wasn't cheap!

    Cardiff 1-1 Blackburn

All those arms going up for offside, when scorer was onside from the initial header, but looked offside from the save.

Glad the assistant kept his flag down.

Cardiff will still win though. Our job is going to be really, really tough if they do.
