  1. Not so sure about this midtable expectation. There's a lot of decent managers playing progressive football in the Championship right now. I do worry we'll be left behind a little bit. Hopefully, our more "old school" style will shake them up.
  2. Anyone who contributed a kick last season is a hero in my book. Played his part at Portsmouth away, and promotion means paying to release him from his contract early wasn’t a bad decision. Looking forward to seeing if he can step up next season.
  3. I think it’s good value if you’re interested in the Premier League, national team and beyond. But not if you’re only subscribing for Derby.
  4. Used to love him and sing his name. Lost all respect when he refused to take even the tiniest bit of responsibility for putting himself out of action. Looking back, from the things you hear, he doesn't sound like the type of personality we'd want at the club anyway. Duck him.
  5. I’d sooner cut my balls off than miss that trip, family or not!
  6. Social media has made this promotion so much more fun
  7. The Rowett team’s play off home leg win against Fulham. Was a proper atmosphere under the lights, and a big result. Curtis Davies an absolute rock that night. Pocketed Mitrovic.
  8. Barnsley away in December under Rowett. Perfect away performance in the middle of a rise up the league table. Topped off with a chorus of White Christmas from a packed-out away end. Lovely.
  9. Nowhere near the top of the list, but Chris Martin's late equaliser at Elland Road under Cocu was brilliant. Kickstarted his second coming, which many hoped for but few expected.
  10. The support at the Fulham away game was brilliant. It wasn’t deafening or anything, but it felt like the away end didn’t stop singing for a single minute across the whole 90.
  11. I think it will be Brighton tbh. They offer a similar prospect, but with less of a relegation threat and a more proven model of selling players onto big clubs. But obviously I want him to stay here for the rest of his career!
  12. I don't know. Working with a progressive coach at a well-run club is always going to be tempting. I question what else he has to learn with another year at Derby, particularly when he's already comfortably Championship level. He'll back himself to break into the team, or at the very least learn for a year and force his way in eventually. Phil Foden had to be patient at Man City, but it worked in the end.
  13. Stick to Football and the recent Overlap interviews have taken football content to new levels. Both brilliant. He’s even better at creating content than he is as an actual pundit.
  14. I have a very strong feeling Clowes will deservedly have something named after him after his time as owner is up. He’ll go down as one of our biggest legends ever. Just won’t happen while he’s here.
  15. Sheffield United at home was unbelievable. The limbs when Lawrence scored his second, some of the best ever.
  16. Not having Leeds away, goes against the point of the thread! But WBA is a great shout. Genuinely one of the best performances I’ve ever seen us put in. Thought we were going to walk the league after that.
  17. Cashin to a Premier League Ipswich (a well run, stable club) makes far too much sense for my liking
  18. Me too. I recall we were an inch away from taking it to penalties. That season was really, really fun. As was the whole Championship that year. Some iconic teams, managers, players and moments involved in the promotion battle.
  19. We’d get absolutely rinsed for doing this. I personally think it should be reserved for winning the league or a cup. Saturday was fun enough.
