  1. On point 2) about desensitising the players. Literally the only positive I can find in us signing Dads Army players is they are experienced and some of them experienced at a far higher level than this, point 2 shouldn't apply. We cannot be blaming the opposition with limited resources compared to us, they'll do whatever they need to do and we need to adapt or stay in this league for the foreseeable. Only got ourselves to blame for missing a golden opportunity on Saturday to extend the gap and put the pressure on others. We were bloody awful in what should have been one of our lesser remaining games.
  2. This is what depresses me the most. I could take a few seasons in League 1 if I could see a future, players being bought through or signings who were improving or had some potential. Even if we get promoted its the same over the hill mob on last pay cheques, most of them probably not arsed about the club. No direction at all, much as I despise Warne a lot of that comes from higher up.
  3. He's been a very poor signing if we're being kind
  4. I think we've partly ended up in this position because the January window was not great. Stuck all the eggs in the CBT basket and now even with no players Warne won't play him. Who wanted to sign him because it doesn't look like Warne did?
  5. Did we forget how early Hughes was playing regular first team football for us? I think he'll be finishing at the top level far earlier than we think, he's not your typical player who got eased in until he was early 20s. I've no idea what he'd do in the Championship but he looks like hes not good enough for the prem when I've seen bits of Palace
  6. Released by Rotherham probably. Good lad though.
  7. Is that typical though? Except TJJ they are all old men, bound to get injuries, naive to think otherwise. This isn't hindsight, you sign these sorts of players in league 1 its because they have no better options and they are broken and risky to sign.
  8. Even if by some minor miracle he gets us up his track record in the Championship is relegation straight away. Hes not the answer long or probably short-term to
  9. Nail on the head. Pompey are pissing this league and they are nothing special. We've barely improved if at all from last season just in a weaker league. If the players and manager can't get out of this league they can all do one when the contracts expire if not before.
  10. Would any other manager with the team in this position in the league divide opinion so much? Strong likelihood those against Warne are correct and those in favour are slightly blinkered by us somehow being 2nd despite Warne.
  11. I just hope they (the club, Warne etc) learn from the experience this season with injuries whatever league we're in next. You sign players past their best with chequered injury records and this sort of thing is inevitable. Who honestly saw Gayle lasting to the season end?
  12. We probably can't miss the playoffs from where we sit currently but realistically if we're below Bolton, Barnsley and Peterborough again to my mind we've not improved from last season. Pompey have improved but otherwise its the same league from last season where the runner way top 3 all got promoted. The 3 relegated to our league all had significant issues which made it difficult to expect them to be promotion challengers.
  13. We sit 2nd in the league but I genuinely believe any half competent manager would have had us all bar promoted by now with the amount of points everyone else below us keeps dropping. The scenes on here when we limp into the playoffs and get dumped out in the semis will be quite something. How many years left on his contract? Wake me up when its run out or Clowes grows a pair.
  14. Makes you wonder if we and they and Pompey and Peterborough etc have actually improved or more likely we're all at a similar level to last season in a much weaker league minus the three who got promoted
  15. I'm so unbelievably frustrated with the situation (shock horror) DCFC signing old men up front with dodgy injury records = no fit strikers. Warne won't name a striker from the academy in the squad. Reality is this club will not be sustainable long-term without using the academy and selling some of them on at a profit because we are turd at scouting for other players with potential. Warne is very bad for this club long-term even if he gets them up in the short-term. The other thing is signing Wash is as bad as the dodgy PPE contracts from the government in my book, the man is not fit for purpose and stealing a living from his mate Warne.
  16. Sorry but that game doesn't end 2-2 if their keeper didnt spill Nats daisy cutter. Their heads and legs went after that. We lose that 2-0 and you can forget your 32 shots which probably had a collective XG of 2 goals
  17. I think a howler from their keeper and their legs going have masked a dreadful 2nd half showing myself but we're still in it which is the main thing in a season where promotion looks unlikely, a cup run is not unwelcome
  18. Did somebody on another post say Hourihane had Championship suitors? Hopefully they weren't watching today. Hasn't even bossed a League 2 midfield. Slippers on job, spray a few pretty balls around every now and then but no meaingful contribution on the game.
  19. I think he might be close to the door. Midweek should have got him some time but all this week has really done has further highlighted the Jekyl and Hyde that is DCFC under Warne
  20. On the bright side most of them are out of contract next summer and on this showing and several others I wouldn't offer any of them a new one. Pathetic
  21. This is a very very ordinary Crewe side make no qualms about it. They'd be rock bottom in our league. For all the possession which Crewe are happy for us to have this is up there with our worst efforts this season considering the opposition
  22. No composure at all from one of them. Crewe have defended ok but its easy they just camp in the box and put bodies in the way. Making this far too easy for them. Tactics are entirely on Warne but the technical ability and decision making is player related
