Betty Swollocks reacted to Gaspode in El DerbyCo
Exactly - not a fan of Conway but he does have contacts and does seem to be right more often than he's wrong. Maguire seems to trawl google and social media for his inside track.....

I don't believe that Maguire has any inside knowledge at all - not sure why people are so keen to hang on every word he utters....

Summary of Athletic article:
Pride Park included in sale.
Alonso family form part of consortium along with several others.
Dad was on Real Madrid board.
Family have experience of football business/ marketing
Morris likely not to be involved moving forward.
Formality it seems of passing EFL test.
Not part of VOX.
Role at Sheffield Wed involved engagement/transparency with fans.
Another good article by Ryan Conway, sounds promising.

More from The Athletic.
It is believed Alonso has sufficient funds in place for the transaction and no debt or borrowing of money would be required for the deal — a welcome relief to Derby fans who have spent the past two seasons weighed down by financial issues. Pride Park Stadium is also part of the deal.

More from The Athletic report...
They say the funds are coming from the Alonso family's personal wealth, plus a consortium of other investors.
So a direct contradiction of Kieran Maguire.
They go on to say they expect the EFL to approve the deal without any hitches.

The Athletic is this morning reporting that Erik has nothing to do with Vox and is stopping them for using his name.

Deporting immigrants who break the law is a standard approach in many countries.
Angela Merkel recently voted against same-sex marriage in the German Parliament, where the ruling party are her Christian Democrats and therefore religiously influenced conservatives.
In my experience it's standard for anyone on the left to label anyone who disagrees with them "far right". It's the nature of the polarized societies we live in, driven in large part by social media algorithms.
I'll judge him as I find him.

We'd need to have him signed today for there to be any chance of him playing on Sat due to international clearance etc. Also the fact that we have the early kick off sat not sure if he needs to be registered by Thursday

Ian Wright didn't grace the Premier league until the age of 26. Rickie Lambert joined Southampton at 27 the club at the time were in league one, the highest level he'd ever played at until that point. He went on to get a 4m move to Liverpool and made his England debut at the age of 31. Jamie Vardy at 24 was playing football in the 7th tier of the English leagues. There are plenty of other examples out there. Someone has to be the first to give a player a chance, why can't that be us?
