On the face of it this looks harsh, but we need to remember a few things:
• we don’t know the full extent of The facts / Keoghs contract / his disciplinary hearing / the offer of a revised contract
• the club have access to much better HR / legal advice than most ,if not all of us.
• on a purely financial basis this seems to make sense. His career was effectively over before today’s events. All else is sentiment from a financial point of view.
For the record imho he was a good servant to the club, who performed well most of the time, but as a captain he was 50% of Rob Hindmarch RIP in terms of being a leader
