FREE MINIBAR!!!!!!!
I thought that it was to last us a week, but the Memsahib drank the coke, some water and a small bottle of wine, only to see them miraculously replaced the next day.
I'm testing it later today by consuming 4 bottles of beer, the gin, the vodka and the miniature whisky.
You know - for science.
Reminds me of when I stayed at the Andaz Liverpool St, purely on the room description of healthy complimentary mini-bar.
I assumed by healthy it meant a wide variety of choices, was most upset to be confronted by various fruit and veg smoothies, with not a drop of alcohol in sight!

You can't beat a Seamaster. Bought mine back in 2002 for £750 and having looked on various websites I could flog it today for £1k. Sound investment. I'll be keeping it for a few more years mind as I'm giving it my lad for his 18th birthday.
That's the last i'll ever see of it mind, as he'll either loose it or sell it within a month...
Unless he sells it you.
About £1200, if he's anything like my lad!

American Sniper 5/10.
I just didn't get what it wanted to be, not really a war film and not a good study of the effects of war on the participants.
Maybe one for jingoistic Americans rather than the world at large.
At certain parts couldn't help but sing 'America, **** yeah!', which isn't a good sign.

Just tried the Courvoisier. I find it easier to drink than whiskey, doesn't give me the same warmth as it goes down. More fruity taste and less woody but I guess thats probably because the cognac is only aged 2 years compared to most of my whiskeys being 10/12 years.
I really like the after taste actually. I will definitely be drinking the bottle (not tonight) and will consider buying again!
Get yourself onto Hine, like velvet in a glass.

God no. My friend plays in Jesus and the Mary Jane, but I'm going to watch the real one. Another Freudian slip for me!
Would be a good thread, best named tribute act you've seen.
-
Killing Joke. I'm really waiting for Friday's gig.
And of course supporting act The Jesus and Mary Jane, which I've never seen before.
Are they a Jesus and Mary Chain tribute act, in which case they're up there with AB/CD, Food fighters and the Antarctic Monkeys in my book?

The equalizer - not bad, not great 6.5/10.
Felt like lots had been edited out, at the expense of a too long intro before it got started. If you're a dumb action film, don't spend the 1st half hour pretending you're not, get straight on with the creative killing fgs.

Eagle eye, seen the 1st 10 mins twice on late night BBC, looks really good but have fell asleep both times, is it worth watching or not?
-
Watched 2 today, god I hate it when footys not on.
American Hustle, nicely shot, some good performances but nowhere near as clever and stylish as it thinks, last 20 minutes were good, but didn't make up for the preceding 2 hours 3/10.
The Lion King, inventive, great songs, lovely hand drawn animation, easily amongst the greatest Disney animations of all time, 9/10.

18 year old Glendronach Parliament. Awesome.
Funnily enough, I've spent the last few hours enjoying an 18 year old, you wouldn't believe what they can do with a ping pong ball.☺
That topspin serve was unplayable!

Will look into that rev thanks.
Sorry it's Belgiuminabox, no idea why I typed that!

St. Bernardus Abt 12.Love this stuff.
You know Aram, with the dollar even stronger than the pound you should try Beers of Belgium.Com, might be even cheaper for you?

Oldboy 2/10
The worst film I've seen in a long time, Josh Brolin spends the whole film grimacing at just how bad the film is, even Samuel L Jackson looks embarrassed to be taking part.
Should have known better, recommended by a collegue whose review of Life of Pi was "It's crap, he doesn't even make friends with the Tiger".

Neat tequila from a wine glass.
Only because I've finished the cherry brandy mind, and the Malbec rose before it, and the Leffe before that.
Beginning to think the change of manager isn't the worse of my problems mind, I've now run out of salt!
-
problem I have is I can only wear mid size watches, I have skinny wrists so Breitling's are out the question, they look like clocks on my wrist
I had the same problem, until I started wearing mine on the right hand, fits like a glove.

Is that a good cider mate?
Who cares, thats his change from 2 quid!
-
Well the age of that crew would only give you Eddie, Steve Brummie, ArchRam and Ovies to choose from on here.
It's not the age I'm bothered about, just need a skinny bugger to fit through the hole!

Read an advert for this exhibition in the paper today, thought some on here would like a gander.
