  1. I don’t think Bolton were miles better than us. The football they play is a lot easier on the eye and is nice to watch as they move it around waiting for space to exploit but I think we were solid and had it not been for the odd poor touch here and there we’d have done a lot more on the counter attack. Anyway players need to forget it and focus straight on to the next match. Only Derby playing on Saturday out of the mini league of 5 at the top. Psychologically could be massive heading into the busy Easter period 7 points ahead of second and 2 points off top with superior goal difference. It turns the heat up on everybody around us when they’re cramming more games into a shorter time frame. We have to back yesterday up with a result at Northampton.
  2. Bloke I work with who’s both a county fan and a scout can’t understand this idea of fans wanting langstaff playing higher than L1. Says his movement isn’t good enough to play higher up.
  3. You’re the best side in the division and we’ve restricted you to 6 shots, only 3 of which are on target. That’s a solid performance. granted some of our performances haven’t always reached the heights we want every week but I wouldn’t judge us in a game against our toughest opponent. Today was about getting over the line. Nothing else matters.
  4. Well we had more shots than them 👀 Never in doubt 👀. Superb effort and superb crowd. We've just beaten in my opinion the best team in the division. It’s ours to f*** up from here.
  5. With no disrespect to the team or fans - f*** Bolton. f*** the idea that we should be worrying so much about this match. Over 38 games they’ve not been as good as us. We have finally stumbled onto a system that is producing decent performances, Why should we change how we’ve taken to the last 3 matches? Go out and show them why we’ve got the best goal difference in the division. Go and attack them from the off. My heart not take watching us trying to soak up 90 minutes of pressure for Wildsmith to sprint out and foul their striker in the 86th minute for a pen.
  6. I think the second yellow is harsh but in real team it looked like he had caught Hourihane and when you’re moving into the box if the ‘foul’ doesn’t happen then it’s always going to be a yellow. The penalty I’ve seen given and I’ve seen not given. I think they’d have wanted it if it was the other way round and we’d have probably been frustrated by it. We had the rub of the green but really should have been 2/3 up by half time.
  7. “2-1 to the referee” oh aye did he set them up to play f****** woefully in the first 45? 😂😂
  8. ‘Dummy’ is being generous haha he’s tried to flick it in and missed completely 😂
  9. And you’ve just bumped this to the top of the queue. let it go.
  10. Comments like this are just as mind numbingly dull as the people out for blood at every moment. well done for trying to drag the thread back down into mindless bickering. Perhaps we could get back to enjoying the win and an actual performance that matches the result!
  11. Could di with a change or two to try and swing momentum back our way. NML and Barkhuizen look shattered
  12. We don’t have any other senior figures do we? 😂
  13. Deary me Boro 😂 Cheer up Steve Gibson.
  14. I was sure he wouldn’t be the right man long term after Ipswich away last season. I’ve tried to bury that feeling since then but I don’t see anything that changes my mind. Will he eventually get us up? More than likely due to the nature of our squad compared to others in the division. Have I got any confidence if we go up? No. I know we’ll strengthen but this football without having players better than our opposition to win it with moments of magic will not be as successful.
  15. Im in no way advocating Evans being our manager but ‘a manager out performing his budget? Yes please’
  16. I’d love to see this squad of players coached well. That’s all. If Warne stays on as cheerleader then replace his coaches.
  17. I actually like Warne by the way. The interviews have grown on me. I think he’s a good guy. But for me I’d rather think the manager was a bit of a nob but who could set a team up to play high quality football consistently.
  18. Anyone. Apparently Paul Simpson is close to being sacked following getting Carlisle promoted. Offer it him until summer. Reassess. Anyone that can encourage these talented lads to play some football.
  19. You can count on one hand the games we’ve actually really dominated this season. It’s not good enough. This turgid approach to football will see us finish rock bottom of the championship next year even if we do manage to drag ourselves across the line because ultimately we won’t be able to rely on having better players.
  20. Perhaps. I do honestly believe though it’s because we couldn’t expect any more than what we were seeing. We were up against it and we outperformed expectations in that we’d have comfortably stayed up had it not been for deductions.
  21. I just find it so hard to get excited about our club right now. How was a relegation battle more enjoyable than us being 2nd? Maybe it’s because our manager was squeezing every last drop out of the squad we had vs what we are seeing now. The pack mentality helped a lot.
  22. Under Rooney when we went about 15 games without a win before that draw against Wednesday kept us up. The relegation season was way better as you say!
  23. I’d honestly love to see what others are seeing when they defend this stuff. Football is garbage and when the results eventually turn all you’re left with is awful football.
  24. Couldn’t go tonight and can’t go on Saturday and honestly I’m not bothered. Couldn’t dream of feeling like this even when things were crap under Cocu and Rooney. We are not getting the best out of this group of players.
