  1. He’s offside but it’s tight Weak defending mind.
  2. How dull is your take? Religion is going nowhere so why wouldn’t we make our sport accessible for Muslim players? L
  3. Superb run from CBT that! Hopefully gives him the confidence to push in.
  4. Our fans literally bood it against Bolton to be fair - even after they’d been told it was for Ramadan.
  5. Disappointing start for me. Really struggling to get their foot on it and put our mark on the game. Weather or injuries or just playing a better side? NML looked a bit ineffective last 2 matches (so far) - central position not working or captain responsibility too much for him to worry about or injured? All I know is Ive enjoyed 0 minutes of it so far 😂
  6. We’re winning it at a canter. Bookmark this.
  7. I think the difference between Plymouth and Ipswich is that Ipswich had more players ready to step up and were more pragmatic with style at times. Plymouth also had a lot of loans in that side and have lost key players like Azaz for example. The manager loss is also quite damaging for them. Though the way it’s going at Stoke they might be able to get Schumacher back end of this season.
  8. No from where I was it looked like they were booing Critchley/the players. Could be wrong though
  9. Aye just like when the Real Madrid fans gave Ronaldinho a standing ovation after he ripped them apart?
  10. Be watching this in Somerset with the other half’s family of forest fans. Please be kind derby.
  11. I wonder why Blackpool fans were booing so heavily at full time ?
  12. I think ultimately we need to be a match day squad made up of around 8 academy products which 1 player being sold for decent money each season to keep us going.
  13. I think Clowes will see what he can manage in the division up with the extra TV income first. Remember we’re owned by his business and they’re a company that make tens of millions in profit each year. This leads me to believe that he’d be open to supporting us to the tune of single digit million losses per season for a short while as long as he sees a pathway to being more sustainable once the academy has fully recovered from admin. Remember the huge losses incurred over the last year or 2 were hangovers from admin. If our playing wage bill is 45% of revenue we’ve got to be in a strong position to be trying to do things very differently to last time.
  14. I feel the same way about our season and yet despite feeling like we’ve ground it out so far we do sit with the best goal difference, the joint most wins and the 3rd highest goals scored. There have been lots of very professional 3-0 wins in amongst the nail biters I guess.
  15. My fingernails and chest would appreciate it
  16. This result hurts more after seeing todays results 😂 we’d be all but over the line after today!
  17. Don’t we have insurance against salaries when players sustain longer injuries? I’d love to know which injuries are covered and which aren’t if we do. @Owen87ITK any idea on this?
  18. Gone from being a beast vs young skinny lads to being a beast in men’s football. Long May it continue.
  19. Id suggest that post covid the market is completely different. Most transfers in league 1 happen with no money changing hands at all. The odd transfer fee paid by traditional championship clubs but we’d have our hands snapped off for NML, TB, CN, CE, KW, EA, JC at this level.
  20. Who are these ‘bargain basement’ players you’re alluding to? Every player we have signed would have had a queue of suiters in this division lining up for them. Basement bargain signings were what Rooney was using in the relegation season.
  21. Wildsmith deserved that rollicking. He started coming to get it. Was clear favourite to get it and then ran back leaving cash to deal with it and it took a bad bounce and hit him and went out for a corner.
  22. My point was more than the passes that reached their team mates just weren’t good enough. No momentum being built because they were constantly having to stretch to get the ball or turn and run back to get it after it was played 5 yards behind them. The pitch didn’t look great but it’s the same pitch for both teams isn’t it?
  23. My opinion of Warne as a manager is well known and he is what he is so I’m not going to go over those talking points again. I’m sick of slating the woeful tactics so My anger yesterday is directed at the players. Can any of them come off the pitch with any sort of credit? Their goal was Sunday league defending. Bradley letting him get the cross in too easy. Cashin and Sibley breakdown in communication allowing the scorer the freedom of half of the pitch. Passing accuracy was abysmal. Even the passes that went to our players were always causing the receiver to turn back and collect it from behind them or to stretch for it. Wasted the 3 real opportunities we had with awful finishing. Constant hoofed balls up rather than the composure to play it through a pretty crap league 1 press. Honestly a good chunk of the team yesterday printed their own P45s for the end of this season regardless of division.
  24. This is fine if we’re talking about an inexperienced defender learning a lesson the hard way. We’re talking about an experienced pro who was part of a promotion to the premier league last season. He should be thoroughly embarrassed that he couldn’t control himself and in doing so has left the team with 2 centre backs for the next 3 matches. I’d pay him off at the end of this season and cut our losses - dread to think what championship strikers would do to him. This isn’t just about the sending off either. Constantly passing it behind the player he was playing it to. Constant poor touches including needing Wildsmith to rush out and spare his blushes to stop a repeat of match day 1. These mistakes shouldn’t be happening from a player at this stage in his career who has dropped down a level.
