Yeah ultimately I want us to have another option competing with him but you’d think he was Theo Robinson the grief he gets.

Bored shitless of reading criticisms of Collins. Bloke puts absolutely everything into every game and he’s top goalscorer for the 5th best side in the division over the last 19 games so he obviously knows where the net is. Because he doesn’t have the technical ability of McG or Martin his efforts seem somewhat less impressive. Im telling you now McG missed plenty of chances last season - some a lot easier than those Collins missed yesterday. This isn’t a criticism of McG either - just an acknowledgment that our best player last year was also only human and plying his trade in league 1 for a reason. Same as Collins.

Only issue is this is what happened last year when we went on our big run. Loads of routine wins without looking wonderful and that went south pretty quick. Hopefully these results turn into performances to match.

Performance so far has been far from what is needed to continue our current run of form. Twice the defence have parted and if their players had more about them we’d be in trouble. We need to take the game by the scruff of the neck but also take control in the middle. Feel Hourihane is currently a net negative when in the team. Hope he proves me wrong. Let’s switch it on boys!

This is my one concern but I’m pinning everything on us getting even more successful when we ‘finally click’ I’m a fan of xG but this is b*******. Brighton are in Europe because their owner has an intricate understanding of statistics within football. There’s still plenty of Brighton fans that think the only important stat is goals scored etc.

2nd in the form table over the last 6 matches. 4th in the form table over the last 10 matches. 3rd best goal difference in the division and tightest defence. I might find the football hard to watch at times but at least he’s meeting the results brief with current form.

Our biggest problem aside from not having a single properly mobile striker is that we have very little mobility and movement in the midfield.

He’d been booed none stop by a fan base with no reason to boo him. He’d been written off by our fan base and our manager. Then got bought by a better side than us. I want to see forwards celebrate when they score. A good one gets what less than 200 goals in a long career? They should celebrate them. It doesn’t happen every week unless you’re Haaland. Hate this idea that you can’t celebrate because you used to play for someone. It isn’t respect it’s just soft as bollox from the previous team’s fans.

Eh? He’s not a striker/10 or a winger. He looked a class above our midfield and would probably be available.

I think Hourihane should be fined every time he’s found to be further back than our centre backs. Ridiculous how often he’s just collecting the ball behind everyone to pass it on 5 yards. It means there is 1 fewer option in midfield for the defence to pass it forwards to.

White (Newcastle) on loan at Crewe has to be a target? He made all 3 of our midfielders including Bird (who recently has looked better than this level) look silly during our match with Crewe. He’s a loan signing, where let’s be honest oil money FC won’t ever give him an opportunity now they can spend gazillions, so if you get promoted there might be opportunities for something longer term.

Problem is that he’s not a league one player if he’s on his day throughout the season. We’ve got him in league one because is inconsistent. Yeah a winger to help rotate him is a must in January.

Fingers crossed he sees that at the moment as he has played for the first team this year as a 17 year old. He’d be years away from it with any of those other teams.

Aside from admin and Morris the things that have made me most angry about derby in recent years was Rooney dragging Whittaker off after bringing him on. w*** management and spelled the end for a promising young player. Never understand the grief he gets from our fans - his only crime was to not set the world on fire as a young lad coming into a team permanently fighting fires.

I had a blast watching us 1-0 our way to the prem under the poisoned dwarf. Also had a blast watching us take the piss with MAC1. As someone else mentioned, it’s easier to forgive shortcomings though if the football is exciting to watch.

With a busy summer expected I figured it’d be useful to have this up and ready to go as soon as possible…
