  1. This is the thing. At the moment I don't think Warne is too fussed about playing through midfield, they're just there to pick up the scraps and cover for the full backs bombing on. The back four are doing the distribution for them...
  2. Looks good on paper. I wonder if 3 at the back will work better with Nyambe being more mobile than Bradley? Something needs to change, cus we can't have too many more repeats of last night. And when I say a few, I mean none...
  3. One thing I didn't get was when Ward came on, why was NML still on corners?? TBF to the lad, his dead balls are very good, and there keeper was iffy all game. Why were we leaving them to Nat when he barely cleared their man at the front post?
  4. See below Once Nyambe's back we'll hopefully see Wilson pushed forward and NML moved in behind Collins. We know he's not a natural No 10 but a lot of our unbeaten run was with him more central.
  5. I don't think it's even worth investing in another midfielder because they'll still be asked to play in the same way, which is to recycle the ball as quickly as possible and get it to the wide players. There's nothing wrong with that in theory but it's just not working. I don't know if I'm the only one to have noticed but Bird & Hourihane are never really in the middle of the field, they're always operating miles apart from one another. When either of them managed to play a 1-2 it's rarely with each other, and more likely to be either a full back or winger
  6. Turns out you had nothing to worry about. Me on the other hand 😬
  7. Like you I was sceptical about Poutine but then I had some from a van at Bustler market and it was a game changer. But I'm not going as far as @David and whacking fish into the mix. battered sausage maybe... Back to the point of the thread, taking into account we haven't played to our maximum 95% of the season, we've had plenty of injuries, and the fact we supposedly have a s**** manager is pretty outstanding...
  8. I watched him at Macclesfield last season and he was the best player on the pitch, by miles. Surprised someone higher up didn't go in for him...
  9. Similarly with James Berry, he's destined for bigger & better things. The lad can play
  10. Revel Morrison is without a club. Worth a punt til the end of the season...
  11. There's nobody in our squad that would've been able to turn and shoot the way he did against Oxford.
  12. Let's not forget that he isn't a No 10, he's a main striker or wide forward. Until he has a good run of games in those positions we shouldn't be writing off just yet. The one change I was hoping Warne would make the other night was swapping him and NML. The praise he got at Ipswich shows he's capable at this level when fully fit.
  13. Got to say I'm quite fearful of playing them on Saturday. Jordan Love looks the real deal...
  14. I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make considering we have one of the oldest squads in the division. It's also good to see Rams fans fondness for writing off signings after the briefest of glimpses is alive and well 🙄
  15. I stand corrected on this point, I thought Hugill was further up when they broke
  16. If it ain’t broke, which at that point it wasn’t, why fix it?? What if Warne had made those changes and they still equalised, he’d be absolutely slated for going negative. I get the feeling with some fans he’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t…
  17. Considering we were 2 goals to the good, and very rarely being threatened. What changes were people demanding??
  18. Exactly a couple, not 1 on 1. That's school boy basics...
  19. Seddon is about 10 stone wet through, there's no way he should be out muscling NML like he did. People can't pull Elder apart for his error and not appoint some blame for their first at Nat's door. It was sloppy.
  20. It's always those with knee jerk reactions that are the loudest. Up until the errors we were well in control and cruising. It's alright folk moaning about Warne not reacting to their changes, but it's not like they stuck 5 up front, they simply changed a couple of players (and maybe) told those coming on to be a bit more positive. It's not like they unlocked us with peak Barcelona tiki-taka either, they were gifted to them...
  21. Same as you guys, I thought he had a solid game up until his mistake. His cross for the 2nd was good and he put a good shift in considering it's his first league start for months. Unfortunately it looks like he's going to be the new whipping boy until Collins hasn't scored for a few games. I thought NML was equally as culpable for their first goal, letting Seddon muscle him off the ball instead of just giving it back to a defender was pretty crap play. It's also worth mentioning that Elder was left in the lurch by the rest of the team going absolutely gung-ho in the build up to the 2nd. I suspect everyone was a little too eager to get the 2 goal advantage back because there was no need for both our CBs to go marauding up field like they did...
  22. One piece of advice me & Mrs Ramsbottom found out too late was that you shouldn’t talk to the sprog during a night feed/nappy change as they think it’s play time, and won’t want to go back to sleep. Babies have to learn how to sleep properly and any stimulation won’t help matters, so don’t make a lot of eye contact, and keep your trap shut.
  23. So if you're reading this B4, stop with the soddin penalties already!!!
  24. Perhaps his Mrs has left him and he's suffering from the Lawrence Fox effect...
