  1. How long till Waggy or Wash are back? Surely they are better options when fit.

  3. To be fair, if Warne goes for the same line up/tactics as the reading game and yesterdays first half, I would fully understand our fans being puce with rage.
  4. Warne deserve plenty of criticism today, but also some praise. Criticism for the dreadful tactics for the first 65 mins, praise for changing it around, putting 3 in midfield and those changes leading to 3 points. Personally, I would prefer us to deploy a 4-3-3 as I think its the formation that suits what we have best. However the 5-3-2 got us the points, so cant complain too much.
  5. As soon as he moved into that 3 man midfield he looked like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. Suddenly he was able to be in the right place at right time, instead of chasing around after players on his own. He also started finding players with passes much more consistently, as he had options around him instead of having to force a ball wide asap.
  6. Nowt wrong with putting crosses in as the goal proved…..but it can’t be your only tactic. Once we started mixing our play we became less predictable and it meant Chelts couldn’t keep doubling up as they needed those players to cover central areas which helped NML get the space he needed for that peach of a cross.
  7. Decent win……..but my it was difficult! The manager completely hamstrung us with another poor starting line up/tactics. That said the players were as dreadful as the tactics! You have to give Warne credit for changing, but we also should never have been in that position, so he’s heavily in deficit despite the win. A very well taken goal from Collins (and decent strike from Bird) masks a poor afternoon and lessons need relearning again! The obsession with getting it wide as quick as possible and bypassing midfield is clearly a busted flush. Teams have worked it out and are doubling up on us in the wide areas, knowing we offer nothing through the centre. To compound matters we’ve just gone and used a chunk of the transfer kitty to bring in a player for a system that we need to ditch, or at best drastically alter. Over the last few weeks a lot of things haven’t made much sense and it feels like the Stevenage period all over againd. Also nice to see Curtis Davies have a good game and get a good reception. Top man!
  8. Ruddy hell! Their player looked like he cleared that off the line for us there!
  9. The change in Max Birds performance since the subs has been dramatic
  10. Yeah we’ve looked a lot better since the subs and formation change
  11. The change to a three man midfield has really helped him. Playing well and not struggling to marshal the midfield on his own
  12. Starting to look better now we’re mixing up our play instead of obsessing over getting it wide, also addressing the dysfunctional midfield has helped. Only took 65 mins 😂
  13. Hopefully this sub addresses our non existent midfield
  14. Absolute tripe and Chelts fully deserve to lead
  15. HT seriously poor and the players leave to boos. Completely outwitted tactically. They are doubling up on us in wide areas, so what do we do……….keep playing it wide as quickly as possible. Sibley, Nelson and Cash are ok but the rest very poor. We need to mix our play, Chelts know what we’re going to do and are managing us well.
  16. Ridiculous from Hourihane there! He had acres of space to drive central towards the area possibly even shoot……..but he was so focused on getting it pointlessly wide he didn’t see the space. Absolutely dreadful
  17. Nice work from Wilson and then Barks but Chelts are doubled up on us and the defender snuffs out the chance
  18. Sibley’s probably been the best of a poor bunch
