After having a really good first half Adams has looked quite dozy this second. He’s not alone but the change has been dramatic

HT derby 1 dirty Charlton 0 First 20 dirty Charlton were the better side but we started get a foothold and then scored a lovely goal. Fairly even since the goal, although we probably have had more of the play. Adams looks a useful addition adding bite to the midfield, his first touch isn’t the greatest but as long as he gets the ball to the creators around him he’ll do well. Shame to lose NML but Barks is doing ok. Sibley is doing well and Bird is looking dangerous in more advanced positions. Overall pretty decent performance, but we have to keep it up and get a 2 goal cushion if we can. Also it’s clear the ref has no intention of controlling their players and they know it. Their fouls are getting more and more brazen!

Great control and turn by Barks there, but two dirty Charlton players bring him down. Not even a yellow! Ref needs to get a grip here, Charlton think they can do whatever they want

Yep you need a couple of these types of players in this division.

20 mins in Charlton are in the ascendency playing some decent stuff but not quite clicked in the final third. We seem be looking to play direct to the channels but not having too much success yet

Was Adams stamped on there?

I think the success of this window actually lies with Wags and/or Wash getting fit. If either, or both can be fit in the next few weeks, then people will probably look back at it differently and call it a success. We’ve strengthened a few areas that needed it, but left ourselves with only one for striker. If Wash or wags aren’t back in the next week or so, then we’re ultimately up poo creek without a paddle. For me: Pros - Cash signing a new deal - Nyambe signing a new deal - CBT signing - Adams signing Negatives - Bird leaving (not a fan of this loan back should have just parted company) - No striker, now we wait for injured players.
