  1. Another great away day out! Lots of good performances, as many have said thought Adams had a great debut, certainly not afraid to get stuck in! Am so glad Sonny had a solid game after all the stick he's been getting. And I think Max has left us in no doubt that he is certainly still up for the fight til the end of the season. But a special mention for Collins who covered every blade of grass today and just keeps on going, what a guy!
  2. Right, come on guys, January is over, there's a match on tomorrow. Time to put our differences behind us and get fully behind the team. The old players, the new ones, the one soon to leave us, let's help them get over the line. Still all to play for. COYR!
  3. In explaining the points gained and points lost! It was a compliment!
  4. Sorry if I have missed it, but I don't think anyone is saying that those of us who don't boo are superior, we are just saying that we don't think that it helps the players in any way. I'm sure players have said in interviews that getting behind them helps, not booing! So why would you do something that is detrimental to getting what you want, which is an improved performance.
  5. Think it's really harsh to include players like Cashin, Nelson and Collins, for example, in your assessment that this lot don't care.
  6. Absolutely agree with sticking with 3 at the back until first choice full backs return, means Wilson can be a bit more attacking for starters.
  7. This is the kind of thing I just don't get! My love of watching DCFC isn't conditional on what type of football we play, what type of manager we have, who the players are or what division we are playing in, it's like an unconditional love! If it's not that way for you then fair enough, but I'm guessing there are more people who just can't give it up!
  8. First chance I've had, since getting back at 2am last night and being busy today, to read the match thread! Not sure I dare!
  9. But we didn't all think that, we all know we are still working under a business plan that had to be ratified by the EFL, so that in itself will impose some restrictions, because they wouldn't just let us spend gung-ho!
  10. Love a bit of cake I do! First away match in a while that I'm missing, so give them a cheer from me!
  11. Wrote out a long reply after reading through the match thread, but deleted it as it sounded a bit preachy. Instead am just going to say, to some posters, why give up on the outcome of a game at the first sign of a setback? There's always time for a late winner, ( yes I know, maybe for the opposition too, but we don't know, so why give up?) And please, lay off the digs on Sonny Bradley before he even gets on the pitch, he's our player, for the team we support, so why wouldn't you support him?
  12. Really glad I paid £23 to watch that! (Bought a ticket, felt poorly so didn't go, paid to watch Rams TV!)🤣
  13. Must admit was quietly a bit nervous about this game, not because of the starting line up, but because this is the type of team and situation ( bottom of the league, new manager) that we have come unstuck against previously, so having won this one feels like a bit of a statement. Thought Wilson had a brilliant first half especially, Collins worked so hard as usual, and Bird also good after getting, in my opinion, some undeserved stick on here. Onwards we go!
  14. From the highs of Friday to the lows of today. Football in a nutshell. No complaints though, the better team on the day won. Park it, move on and start another unbeaten run on Saturday, all still to play for.
  15. Just caught up on the match thread after getting in rather late and not getting much sleep as my head was buzzing all night! Well what a night! Much has been said of the match so I just want to take an emotional view. So proud of the players for sticking to the task and getting what they fully deserved. So proud of the fans for sticking with the team. Absolutely loved the continuous rendition of "We are Derby, Super Rams", so much more supportive of the team than than a song about a totally unimportant ex forest player, let's keep this up! The scenes after the third goal, I hope everyone came out unscathed! The scenes at the end, with practically the whole team starting the bounce, such togetherness. The poor Oxford fans who have the misfortune of having the missing stand at the away end so they get the full force of taunts from the away fans as they leave the ground 🤭. Oh and getting stuck in the car park til 10.45pm, but not caring one bit! COYR!
  16. But for me, entertainment is not about statistics, or solely what happens on the pitch, it's about sharing the experience with my family and a community of like minded people, singing daft songs, bouncing, being swept up in the emotion of it all. I don't care about expected goals, percentage of this and that, I just like living in the moment, sometimes good, sometimes bad. That's what it's about for me.
  17. Don't feel bad if you don't feel that initial rush of love when they are first born, it really doesn't happen like that for everyone. For both of us it was a slow burn, and that's OK. And when they are a bit older, always make sure you put on a united front, at least in front of them, otherwise they will divide and conquer!
  18. Really enjoyable Boxing Day! As others have said, I reckon the first half was as good as we've played all season. It felt like we were the home team, constantly pushing them back into their own half, very impressive. I thought the second half would be tougher as there was no way they could be as bad after the break! But everyone worked their socks off, and although the last ten minutes or so were rather nerve wracking, we held on and a win was thoroughly deserved. Looking forward to Friday already!
  19. I know I'm new around here, but nevertheless I'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! And to B4's family and friends, and anyone who is missing someone special this Christmas, I hope the precious memories of your loved ones will bring you some comfort.
  20. And what about all the rubbish male referees we've had?
  21. Come on, is it really necessary to use that word to describe the ref? I don't think so.
